Introduction to Being a Jester

So, you are an avid ToS player. Typically good at most roles, can slip a win in as a Towny or Mafia every once in a while, sometimes maybe even Serial Killer. But somehow, you just can't seem to master the Jester, one of those roles that most people slip into their mind as "That crappy role nobody can win at". However, this handy guide will help you win as a Jester, almost 100% of the time. These tactics are sneaky, believable, and can almost make yourself think you aren't really the Jester. Let's get Started.

Strategy One: The "Claim Executioner".

In most scenarios, unexperienced Jesters most of the time have the issue of a little bit obviously claiming a role, and one of the most common things people do are claim to be Godfather, Serial Killer, or some other obviously blatant role they aren't. However, you can pretty easily claim executioner, and get yourself lynched in no time. All you need to do is wait until Day Two comes. Then, claim investigator, and say "I investigated (Random Person) and it told me they were mafia!". Someone will instantly call you executioner, because there are MANY things wrong with that. One, it's blatently obvious you 1, claimed invest on Day 2, Two, made up attributes of an Invest's abillities, and Three, claimed leads on a certain person so early into the game. They will call you exe, lynch you, and YOU WIN. I have used this strategy at least 4 times, and it has worked, EVERY TIME.

Strategy Two: The "AFK Troll"

This tactic includes nothing. Literallty nothing. Don't do anything. Just sit there. Do LITERALLY NOTHING! Eventually, when some genius notices you have said nothing/done nothing the whole game, he'll role call you. And of course, you, doing nothing will not give him your roll. He will then claim you guilty, and the whole town will vote you. Once you are up on trial, say "Guys, I'm inno! I swear!". They will still lynch you for not giving a roll, and you have just WON! However, like in any jester strategy, there is a chance you will die to some random killing role. This one has a bit more chance of survival, because you never put your name out there, and you tend to kind of blend in.

Strategy Three: The "Survivor Clone"

Here's another tactic, that doesn't exactly involve you being lynched. You act like a survivor. That's a really boring role, however, I've won doing this once. Since Jester has no night/day abillity, while alive, he pretty much does nothing. So, because of that, you can pretty much just claim a Towny role, and act like it. Give people false information, and all out, act like a town. Depending on the time you're reading this, I may or may not have a guide out for How to win as a Survivor. (I am trying to make guides for all roles, and this is my first one.) If it's up, you can go to my guide for how to win as a Survivor, and see strategies for that. If you ever get lynched, too, just go with it, and you win, there, too.

Strategy Four: The "Friendly Evil Killing Role"

This last tactic requires a friend in the game, and requires them to be a killing role, (Such as Godfather, Serial Killer, Arsonist, ect.). You then say in chat D2, "Hey guys. I really hate my role. I am a (Friend's role here). Before you say "I'm Jester" wait. I can prove it. Tonight I will kill somebody, that somebody whispers to me, and somebody also whisper me what to say in my death note. That way, that person can verify if it was right. PLEASE HANG ME! I dont want a report for leaving!". This has worked for me before. Some guy whispers you who to kill, and what to say. Your friend does it. They lynch you, and GG!

Strategy Five: The "Sherrif"

This final strategy involves pretending to be a sherriff. By about day five, you are gonna need to claim sherriff, and claim a person is either a Mafia/Serial Killer, depending on what's left. They will lynch that person. When it's wrong, they will lynch you, and BOOM! You win.

However, there is a small chance you could be right by guessing. If this happens, just try and do it again. This is the only con, because after that the town will trust you.

Conclusion

Well, that's it for this guide. If you liked it or, it helped you out, tell me which role to do next! This was really fun, and I will definately do one a day, so I can get all roles! Thanks!
