How to win Caravan trivially easily (even at low levels)
Step 1: Acquiring the Caravan Deck
At the game start, right after Ghost Town Gunfight at Goodsprings, Ringo will approach you and after talking to him, you acquire your Caravan deck. If you missed this conversation with him, you can later find him at Crimson Caravan Company, and you can initiate the same conversation with him to get the deck and a holotape on how to play Caravan.

Step 2: Stuffing your deck with the winning cards
You can get playing cards to your deck from various places, such as buying them from merchants, getting them from the Sierra Madre casino, looting it from corpses, and playing Lucky Horseshoes with Festus at Sunset Sarsaparilla HQ. There are a few cards that will get you a guartaneed win, those being:
From the cards above, you need as many as you can get your hands on, and fill your deck with them. Their colour and sign doesn't matter.
- Number 6 cards
- Number 8 cards
- Number 10 cards
- Jacks
- Kings

Step 3: Understanding your cards functions
If you collected the cards mentioned above, you are almost ready to play Caravan. But first, you should know what your cards do and how to utilize them best. The goal of Caravan is to build up each of your 3 stacks to values between 21 and 26. You can sabotage your opponent (be careful, he can do the same thing to you too) by removing his cards from his stacks, or doubling the value of his big cards, putting them over the 26 value and thus losing them the game. Your cards function as following:
- 6,8,10 cards: Adds their value to one of your decks.
- Jack: Removes the card, along with any cards attached to it (like a King or a Queen)
- King: Doubles the value of the card you played it upon. Playing multiple Kings on one column doubles the previous value. (For example, a King played on a 6 card doubles it to 12. If you play another KIng on this pack, you get 24 for that stack)
Step 4: Profit!
Now when playing Caravan, you have an easy job. Play your 10 cards first, then place your 8, then 6 cards on top of them. You can play with your King placement: you can place them on your 8 or 6 value cards, or double your 10's, then putting a 6 on them, maxing out your stack here, or you can sabotage your opponent with it. If your opponent sabotages you, or has a good deck, remove some big value cards from them (or from you) with the Jacks.
If you don't have enough cards to play (the minimum amount required is 30) you can also use other even numbered cards (like 4 or 2's), but your core cards will be the 6, 8, 10, Jack, and King cards.

Have fun demolishing everyone in the Mojave capable of playing cards with your foolproof strategy! A rate and favorite is appreciated (it's okay if you don't do it :))
