Overview
An index of the terms used in my smite guides. If you would like to see something that isn’t on here, message me and I will get on it 🙂
Terms:
A
- Aura- an effect that applies to gods in a radius.
B
- Backlines- The lower health gods normally located in the back of team fights, these include mages, assassins, and hunters.
- Basic Attacks- attacks that any god can use by clicking the mouse. Some are ranged and others melee.
- Build- a series of items that you buy to perform specific tasks.
- Bully/Bullying- The act of damaging enemies so that you gain the upper hand.
C
- Carry- To deal a lot of damage or get a lot of kills.
- CC/Crowd Control- An effect that is dealt to either your team or theirs to either push back the enemy team or to help your team out.
Ex: Knockups, Knockbacks, Freezes, Silences, Fears, Immunities, and Slows.

- Diving- The act of fully commiting yourself to a kill no matter what stands in your way.

- Farming- Killing minions or jungle monsters to gain gold and experience.
- Frontlines- The higher healthed gods like guardians and warriors that stay in the front of team fights and absorb a lot of damage.

- Gank- To sneek up on an enemy with the goal of killing them by ambush.

- Multikill- A series of kills that result in a double, triple, quadra, or penta kill.

- Peel- To cover for your teammates to get them away from a bad situation.
- Pressure- The amount of force a team can put behind something whether gaining distance in lane or getting the enemy to retreat.

- Shred/Shredding- The act of killing a god or stripping their protections very quickly normally done by hunters.
- Squishy- Very low health gods such as mages and assassins that are easy to kill.

- Zoning- Outpressuring your opponent so that you can keep a specific god out of a fight or a whole team pushed back
