Overview
Think Smart Loot is a bad system? Can’t get the parts you want? Let me help you get your 1299 Upgrades FAST! (New Guide Coming Soon for Police Vehicles and 1497 Spec!)
New Guide Coming Soon for 1497!
Greetings!
As Calling All Units has recently launched, I have put some time aside and will be updating this guide and adding a further guide on the Police Vehicles and 1497 Specs!
Stay Tuned, It won’t be long!
Why aren’t the parts I want dropping for me?
Well, Smart Loot works by giving you parts that are Equivilent Level or Better. So if your parts are at a very low level and quality, the grind can take FOREVER!
I’m here to help you speed up this process, get all your parts upgraded fast and get paid for it!
I can’t be bothered reading….
Watch this then!
What is Smart Loot?
Smart Loot is the Random Number Generated (RNG) System that gives you upgrades when doing a skill or mission. It only “Rolls” for your loot if you meet these requirements:
- You are Level 50
- You score Platinum in a Skill or Faction Mission
- You participate in a Summit Mission
I’m thinking about buying a new car and spec
HOLD ON THERE!
Before you buy a new car or spec, think about this for a second. You want to upgrade your cars’ spec Fast, Cheap and get Paid doing it!
Also, please don’t customise it’s visuals after buying it! You will understand by reading “Why am I getting Paint, Decals and Bumpers?”
If you want it upgraded Fast and don’t care about paying, by all means, buy all your parts! As long as you have already received Level 50 Platinum Parts in the Spec with another car, they can be bought.
All Specs have 11 Parts to purchase.
Standard Specs
Street: 8,000 B or 1,777 cc (88,000 B or 19,547 cc)
Dirt: 17,000 B or 3,777 cc (187,000 B or 41,547 cc)
Performance: 27,000 B or 5,999 cc (297,000 B or 65,989 cc)
Raid: 37,000 B or 8,221 cc (407,000 B or 90,431 cc)
Circuit: 45,000 B or 9,999 cc (495,000 B or 109,989 cc)
Extreme Specs
Drift: 45,000 B or 9,999 cc (495,000 B or 109,989 cc)
Drag: 45,000 B or 9,999 cc (495,000 B or 109,989 cc)
Monster Truck: 45,000 B or 9,999 cc (495,000 B or 109,989 cc)
Save your money! Only buy the cheapest / lowest spec kit option and read on!
The more you save, the faster you get that 1.3m SuperCar you want!
So, What do I do?
Well, if you are understanding the way Smart Loot actually works, then this can be summed up in some very simple points.
- Upgrade all your parts to the highest possible level (40 – 45 Gold)
- Consistently get Platinum in a Skill or Mission
- Always accept and equip a part that is of higher value than it’s replacing
- Even if it’s a Silver 50 replacing a Gold 30 Part, If the car’s level goes up, EQUIP IT!
- Don’t be fussy, Just because it doesn’t have the Secondary Stat you want, Equip it anyway!
- Platinum 50 Parts are when to get fussy on Secondary Stats (Acceleration, Top Speed, Etc…)
- Once you have all 50 Platinum Parts, if you want a particular Secondary Stat, EVERY PART you receive will be 50 Platinum with a Secondary Stat that you DON’T HAVE!
Why am I getting Paint, Decals and Bumpers?
Firstly, Congratulations on getting to Level 50! or Let me welcome you back to The Crew, Wild Run Update!
When grinding for Platinum Parts, there is a chance in the Smart Loot roll for the following parts:
- Paint Colours – Once you get all the Paint Colours, you will not need to buy them anymore, you can use the Paint for Free at your HQ
- Decals – Who doesn’t want a bunch of Ubisoft Characters to plaster over your beautiful car? These can also be placed on your car for Free at your HQ
- Bumpers – New Cars and Specs will always roll for remaining Front and Rear bumpers that you haven’t purchased. As mentioned earlier, don’t purchase any Visual Upgrades when you buy your new spec, you will win all the Front and Rear Bumpers and can change them for free at your HQ
Once you have won all the Paint Colours and Decals, you will not need to win them again. The Smart Loot system will ignore them in the rolls and Platinums will come faster!
If you haven’t got all the Paint Colours and Decals, I would recommend starting with a Spec that can complete Jump Skill 31 in Miami First as it is the fastest event to complete.
Bumpers will always roll as long as you don’t already own them for the Car and Spec, once you have won them all, they will be ignored and not rolled for on that car again.
Side Skirts, Mirrors, Rear Wings, Hoods, Interior Colours, and Rider Customisations are not included in Smart Loot and will need to be purchased.
Where do I go for Sport, Performance, Circuit or Drift?
All these specs are capable of grinding Jump Skill 31 in Miami. This is a very popular location for grinding parts as it is very easy to perform.
- Accelerate
- Hit Boost
- Profit!
As long as your car is able to hit 120mph (190km/h) by the time it hits the ramp.
Dirt, Raid and Monster Trucks?
Dirt, Raid and Monster Trucks aren’t as fast as the other Specs. This is where Hill Climb 6 in the East Coast becomes your Best Friend!
Drag Cars?
Drag Cars are Brutally Fast! They aren’t very good at any other skills besides Jump and Speed Skills, as long as the road is straight and flat.
As the Jump Skill in Miami is really popular during peak times, I found the best place is Long Jump 5 in the West Coast. (And now it probably isn’t because you’re reading this)
And Again,
- Accelerate
- Hit Boost
- Profit!
As long as you can achieve 225mph (360km/h) before hitting the end of the jump, you’ll get Platinum!
Why don’t I get 1299? I already have level 50 Platinum!
The extra bonuses to get your car level to 1299 come from the in game Perks System, this can be accessed in the HQ at Zoe’s Desk.
You will need 20 Perk Points, and Perks can be reset multiple times for a small cost.
Zoe – On a Dime (5 Points) – 5% Increase to Braking
Harry – Like a Glove (5 Points) – 5% Increase to Handling
Roxanne – Shifting Gears (5 Points) 5% Increase to Acceleration
Vincent – Redline (5 Points) – 5% Increase to Top Speed
I also recommend selecting Alita’s Light the Fires Perk (10 Points) as a bonus for a +20% to Acceleration when using Nitrous.
This is taking forever….
Another thing to remember is to add 5 Points to Vincents’ Highly Skilled Perk for 15% Faster Scoring in Skills.
But, at least it’s faster than randomly doing Skills and Missions and getting a +1 Upgrade to your Level 16 Bronze Air Filter…
