Introduction

After a request from a fellow player for the character creator settings for my pawn Jura I've decided to publish them in this guide. This is a character creator guide only. Obviously I've included all the facial settings but I've also added the complete body settings for anybody that's interested.

The pawn settings sections in this guide correspond with the menu's in the Dragons Dogma character creator they are grouped, listed and ordered in the same way: Head, Body and Features.

Originally Jura was smaller than her current design much more like the female default, but later on I needed to "mule-ify" her when my Arisen switched to Ranger/Assassin, someones got to carry those blast arrows and it's not me, so Jura was "Lydiafied....I am sworn to carry your burdens.." So please feel free to ignore my body settings if you wish as the head does suit a shorter design.

Pawn Name

Jura (JOOR-ə; Scottish Gaelic: Diùra; Scots: Jura) is an island in the Inner Hebrides group that lies off the west coast of Scotland. The name originates in the Norse-Gael period of the island's cultural history. George Orwell travelled to Jura to find the peace and quiet he needed to complete his most famous work,1984. The Isle of Jura also produces a rather fine and tasty single malt Scotch Whisky. My other pawn Iona is also named after an island in this area.

Jura: Profile

Base Body

Jura is a customised version of the female default 1 (redhead) in the character creator. This is the body/preset that must be selected, it's the first step in making a Jura style pawn.

Some of the following menu body shots look a bit weird but they actually look a lot better in the game. This kind of thing also happens in reverse when you go to the barber in game, oh that hair cut looks great in the menu until you get outside and it looks absolutely terrible.

Finally

Thanks for taking the time to have a look at this guide, I know from my own experience that using character creators can be a time consuming and frustrating process, endlessly tweaking and tinkering with a design.

In response to a player request I'm now posting my pawn Jura's character creator settings, it may also provide a few pointers to others who pass this way.

Although I've created a few female pawns in this game I'm absolutely hopeless at creating male pawns, maybe I find the female presets easier to work with, most of my male creations look like the aftermath of a failed genetic experiment.

So I do get how frustrating and time consuming pawn creation can be, believe me I've been there, hopefully this helps, enjoy the game.

Cheers,

Wrath of Santa
