4) Each folder is named after a collectible or missable item:




5) What to do/use: general rule - move entire folder where saves are, in the game select Resume and click on the latest save (by date & time).
In most scenarios you have to complete one chase or a short interview to trigger an achievement.

For all collectibles swop folder 99% (Last Collectibles)

Star Map
Discover all landmark locations around the city.


Hollywoodland
Find and inspect all gold film reels.


Auto Fanatic
Drive every vehicle in the city.


The Long Arm Of The Law
Complete all street crime cases.

For the 40th crime, opt to Traffic Desk Free Roam and check the red sign:



Do all the above and you will unlock:
The City Of The Angels
Reach 100% Game Complete.

I'm not including back ups for the achievements if they are in the very first part of a case. Thus, I'm skipping Reefer Madness, where three trophies are done almost instantly, and another is related to the story.

Correctly branch every question in the interview with Jean Archer.

During the Industrial Street raid, kill a goon by shooting the hanging engine block.

(shoot the tower's letters first, then the guy)

Find and inspect all clues inside Okamoto's ransacked apartment.
(inspect the body: head, both hands, pin and microfilm)


Out of the Frying Pan
Pursue Vernon Mapes from the burning house to Hughes Aircraft on your first attempt.
(do not take down his car, just follow it)


Bulletproof Windshield
Kill the drivers of two of the MP vehicles in the Hughes Aircraft gun battle before they pull up.

Ignore soldiers, run towards first left car, shoot its driver, then run further left and kill another one

Find and inspect 95% of all clues.

Shamus To The Stars
Complete all story cases with a five star rating.

Keep A Lid On
Complete a brawl without losing your hat as an LAPD Detective or Investigator.

Not So Hasty
Stop a fleeing suspect with a warning shot as an LAPD Detective.
(use folder L.A. Noire Not So Hasty, instantly get a gun out)

Achieve maximum rank.
