how to play “Spyro: Reignited Trilogy” in 5:4 aspect ratio (1280×1024) without the letterboxes

as with any other games released in recent years, “Spyro: Reignited Trilogy” doesn’t natively support 5:4 aspect ratio; instead you will get top-n-bottom letterboxes
there is a nifty way to mitigate that issue and play natively in 1280×1024 without any letterboxes
(1) download “Flawless Widescreen”. it is a software for launching games in a widescreen mode or changing their FOV

(2) download that custom script for “Spyro: Reignited Trilogy”
(3) unpack the content of script into Flawless Widescreen’s folder:
(4) launch Flawless Widescreen and look for “WSGF Plugins” on the left and click on “Spyro: Reignited Trilogy”
(5) click on “fix enabled”
(6) launch the game and Flawless Widescreen will automatically detect the game and fix its aspect ratio for your monitor
(7) in Flawless Widescreen you can also manually change the Field of View (FOV), making it bigger/smaller depending on your taste. you can also use NUM+ and NUM-
