[MOD] Pre-Censorship Original Story Art
Intro
This is a straight-forward file swap that does what the guide's description states. Due to the nature of how they've committed the changes, it doesn't fully bring the story mode slides back to what they were originally, but most changes are reverted.
Furthermore, it is impossible to undo changes to character sprites. It seems the Story Mode is as far as we can go without downgrading the game or resorting to higher seas.
I wouldn't put it past them to remove this guide/mod or introduce an MD5 Checksum for the files we are replacing in a future patch, like how they did with character sprites, so download while you can.
Since Mike Z saw my other guide and mentioned it before he was sacked, perhaps the new management will see this one, so why not ask them a few questions!
Why are you search-suppressing the Remove SonicFox mod? Why did you take down the link, does it bother you that somebody rejects your new artistic vision for the game?
Would you not say it's a bit hypocritical given the way you vandalised assets of a game one of the major selling points of which has always been its unique vintage and provocative art style?
Do you believe it is consumer-friendly to remove content from a game that's been there for a decade? I was born and lived most of my life in Russia, can you explain to me what part of the "Soviet" voice announcer pack was supposed to be offensive towards me or anyone else? Did you get any complaints about this specific content you felt you had the moral and legal right to retroactively take away from everybody else?
Why are you working on a game with art and plot themes that upsets you personally? What is it with your odd contempt for your own work?
Why did you censor the art used in a cancer charity fundraiser?..
I don't know what your political, social or religious motives may be for committing this "adjustment" as you call it (more like vandalism). Maybe you guys are the American Christian puritans from the 1980s I kept hearing about, maybe you have some new staff with most of their experience at 4Kids Entertainment and itchy hands, heck, maybe time passed and now you have children, which shifted your world view and focus. That doesn't bother me and shouldn't worry anyone else.
It is, however, bothering how rather than take self-responsibility and address the issues that you have with the game in a sequel, another game, or quit to work on a different franchise entirely, you choose to meddle with something that's already been established and bought by the game's fans several times on different platforms for over ten whooping years, and - in case of some team members - wasn't built by you in the first place.
And for what reason? Who are those people that wanted these changes?
Look at your community feedback - I don't see anyone for the "adjustments". The active part of the player base does what some call "review bombing" (a disingenuous term that means negative feedback that the creator doesn't like). Others are either trolling, or don't really care. Where are the players who actively support your decision and can bring consistent and persuasive arguments for why your decision is actually a good thing?
Annoying. Almost as annoying as the gullible players who actively want less choice, less content, and more power for vendors over what they supposedly own.

Installation
Copy the "data01" folder to the game's parent folder where SkullGirls.exe is located and agree to file overwrite.
Please let me know in the comments if you run into any issues. Reminder - this mod only fixes Story Mode slides, and doesn't do it fully.
I'm sure the guys who worked on this could also write long and fancy rationales about even most bizzare "revisions", "adjustments" and "updates" of theirs.
