Multiplayer Shut Down Announcement[www.ioi.dk]
On August 31, 2020 both Sniper Assassin co-op mode and Ghost Mode (versus competitive play) were announced to be closing down and the servers removed. Neither of these multiplayer modes will return for Hitman 3.

Edit September 2020: Contrary to the original news, co-op mode was not shut down on the same day as Ghost Mode and remains available. No news was posted about this.

Ended December 2019.
No new content scheduled, no new elusive targets. Ended June 2020.
No more replays of old Elusive Targets. Curated and featured contract submissions ended.

**The Undying / Undying Returns is the only target to include item unlocks, both versions include a different item unlock (exploding pen, toy robot (flash explosive device)) ~ You were able to play each version (with a new name) one time each. Items (not suits) are rewarded for starting the mission, completion not required. (Originally announced as having a third version, it was cancelled and only two of them released)

Mumbai is no longer planned to have an Elusive Target released.

New road maps and new content ended in December 2019. Content Calendars began in January 2020 and were used to announce featured / curated contracts, reactivation of elusive targets and monthly ioi live streams. All live services appear to have ended as of June 2020. Multiplayer servers and modes (both coop and versus) shut down August 31, 2020.
