Basics

The main replay controls appear if you bring the cursor down the bottom of the screen. Bring the mouse upward and the controls should disappear.

Freeroam camera (following car)

Press F7 to follow the car with a freeroam camera.

Freeroam camera (trackside)

Middle mouse down to bring up the Cinema HUD and then disable the follow car option. Move around using the arrow keys. Scrolling the mousewheel up and down changes your movement speed. Use left and right click while moving the mouse to change the angle.

As a shortcut you can use Left CTRL + F7 to toggle between freeroam following the car and freeroam trackside.

Additional controls

  • v - toggle nametags
  • 1 - driver view
  • 2 - hood view
  • 3 - chase view
  • F3 - cycle cinematic cameras
  • F6 - cycle onboard cameras
  • F8 - PNG screenshot (Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Screenshots)
  • Shift + left - car ahead
  • Shift + right - car behind

Replay settings

Go to main menu - options - general to find replay settings like quality, length, and auto replays.

Sharing replays

You can load someone elses replay file in-game if you place it in Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Replay\Saved. Replays can easily be 200 MB in size.

Problems

The middle mouse down should toggle the Cinema HUD controls, but you may have to press F7 first, then depress middle mouse twice. Likewise if the basic controls don't appear then try left clicking anywhere, then bringing the mouse down.

The freeroam camera can (awkwardly) inherit the rotation of the car it's following, so it can be a good idea to toggle the "follow car" option from a point in the replay where the followed car is driving straight on a flat piece of track.
