Additional Comment

The settings above should provide 45 FPS all the time in handheld mode underground, and between 38-45 FPS outside in the snow.

The biggest performance hit for the dips outside is from Tessellation. So put Tessellation OFF for stable 45 FPS most of the time. With Tessellation OFF, it is possible to put the CPU down to 10 Watts for added battery life.

Personally, I prefer stable 45 FPS over stable 30 FPS. But alternatively, with Tessellation Very High and CPU at 10 Watts, the FPS rarely goes under 30 FPS; so it should be possible to have Tessellation Very High with CPU at 10 Watts and have 30 FPS most of the time.
