The Artemis's Vine Placement Guide for SMITE

The Artemis’s Vine Placement Guide

Overview

This Guide Will Cover The Best Vine Placement Tatics For Conquest, Both Joust Maps, Assault And Siege. This Guide Might Not Make You Into A Master Trapper But It Will Help Increase Your Stats (If You Care About That) And Increase Your Chances Of Winning (Which Actually Matters). Plus, If The Rat Is Giving You Trouble With It’s Mobilty And That Annoying Dash, This Guide Will Help You Slow The Little ♥♥♥♥ Down Enough So You Can Shove Your Knife In It And Just… Sorry, I Went Off-Track.WARNING- This is coming from a geeky LVL 30 at time of typing with a god rank 5 on Artemis and has been tested on most gods so it might not be perfect but I did spend around 30 hours testing the tatics for this guide so take it for what its worth and if you expect pictures, well just use your imagination because screenshots aren’t working properly and for all those expecting a serious, well written guide, well bad luck because I’m not a boring person or a Donald Trump supporter.

Why I Made This Guide?

So you are probably thinking “Why Did This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Idiot Write A Guide About Artimis’ Vine Placement Ability Since That Seems Like A Waste Of Time And He Has A Stupid Name?”. Well it’s for 3 reasons:

A) I was bored at the time and I wanted avoid rewriting my Nu Wa guide (Already done now and you can now find it on my profile)

B) Artimis is a under-rated god (Like this guide) and her vine ability seemed pointless so I thought that I would make a guide to make that ability seem useful.

C) I didn’t have a stupid name back then and people took me seriously. (Because I had a rather geeky name)

So there’s your three reasons so stop wondering and actually read the guide.

Conquest

-Once you got ready and went duo because Duo Lane is always Guardian And Hunter, you want to vine all the entrances to the jungle along the path between your first tower and the enemies’s first tower so you or your team mates have a chance to escape or kill a pursing enemy god. This will also stop possible ganks/flanks while escaping from a chasing god/s.

-If your first tower is destroyed, line your second tower’s boundary with these vines so any gods who try to kill you, will be trapped and have damaged dealed to them by either you, your team mates or the tower which will probably make them run away to teleport back.

Old Joust Map (RIP You Faithful Old Map)

-Don’t go junging for buffs because you want to place a vine where the enemies’s jungle enters into the middle of the lane so you can either finish dealing with their minions, escorting your minions or to escape back to your tower.

-After the enemy team has finished jungling and are in the middle lane, You want to do the same tatic as the conquest 2nd tower defence. Do the same at the phoniex if your tower is destroyed.

New Joust Map (F.U Bull Demon King)

For this section, it’s a good idea to wait to see each enemies’ tatics before employing these tatics

-For the damage buff relient team, just line all three entry points of the camp with the vines as this will allow your team to escape them while they are vined up.

-When going for a damage buff for you or an ally, place a vine in the entrances nearest to the enemy team if you haven’t yet since you didn’t do the damage buff tactic.

-If you are going against stronger enemies (or don’t feel comfortable with the ability of your team mates), just line your tower/phoniex with the vines as a escape proof tactic. Make sure it the cirlce of the tower so the tower also can hurt them if they do try to attack you.

-If you have an assassian or gank heavy enemy, just line your entrances points into the jungle with the vines to prevent or delay possible gankings.

These Ones You Can Use Anytime Without Knowing Your Enemy’s Tactics

-If you have an assassian or gank heavy ally, just line the enemy’s side entrances into the jungle so they can escape without the threat of beng chased

-If you feel risky or have the time, line the enemies’ tower/phoniex. With the new camo feature, these things act like a secret gank and is super efficent with heavy hitting team mates like Anubis or Odin.

-When going for a damage buff for you or an ally, place a vine in the entrances nearest to the enemy team if you haven’t yet since you didn’t do the damage buff tactic.

– You can extend this tactic by vining up the entrance near the enemy tower which is a great way of distracting the enemy or drawing one away from the team for a succesful gank. It can also double as a escape route as long as they don’t have a leap ablity (or you just want to annoy them by dancing at them if they already know you have traps set down in the entrance way)

Assault

There’s three tatics you can use here so pick the one that suits your playstyle:

-Line your tower with two of your vines and one futher up to stop a escaping/chasing god OR

– Make a line of them across the middle of the lane and continue to replish them when you have the mana and the chance OR

– Be sucidal (with the god, not yourself) and line the enemy tower/phoniex if you need a mana recharge

Siege/Clash

These tactics are nearly the same except with some differences.

-Vine all the entrances to the jungle along the path between your first tower and the enemies’s first tower to stop possible ganks/flanks while escaping from a chasing god/s.

-If your first tower is destroyed, line your second tower’s boundary with these vines so any gods who try to kill you, will be trapped and have damaged dealed to them by either you, your team mates or the tower which will probably make them run away to teleport back.

For Clash, just line your side of the damage buff camp to stop assassians from dropping on you.

Some Basic Tips On Vining (And Some Other Stuff Related To It)

-When vining your tower/phoniex, try doing it on the boundary line of tower/phoniex as this will increase the chance of getting a god vined but also means your tower/phoniex can do some damage on them.

-Try changing tactics since the enemy team will see your tactics so by changing them, it keeps them going into them. Usually start it after the first two vines have been used up.

-Vining the middle of your lane is good since it stops pursing gods and lets you kill fleeing gods.

-Try making little gaps since big gaps make it easy for gods to slip past.

-Stacking vines is also good since it extends the vine holding time but it means you have decrease in trapping gods so use this as a back up.

-When leveling up your specials, focus on your vine and speed buffs so you can deal more damage.

-When building her, go for attack speed and damage (so the standard hunter build except with less movement speed). Anything that builds stacks is good like Devourer’s Gaundlets.

-Focusing all your vines on one entrance point is good tactic to employ mid to late game.

-Before going around a corner, vine it since this can vine any person trying to get the jump on you or vine an unexpecting god.

Conclusion

So in conclusion, this was a month’s worth of research that offers 5 minutes of infomation and can be countered by Ymir with his freeze breath and Ravana’s stupid Overhead Kick with it’s stupid CC Immunity (If I may sidetrack, I think it’s unfair for Ravana to have that ability while other gods like Bellona could use this ability as well). Go check out my other guides and put ideas for new guides since I do the more smaller details like this. And also, if you are going to whine about how ♥♥♥♥ this guide is, well try writing a guide yourself which people will find useful then complain about the guide and if you want to find me either yell at me or just play with me, I’m DemonicGeekdom of Clan Nightcore.

Edit: Ravana’s Overhead Kick is actually pretty fun to use so I retract my comment on his Overhead Kick but I can’t be bothered deleting it.
