The Hero Achievement Sidequest Spreadsheet

There are several other guides that already tell you which quests to do, and when, but I always found it a bit tedious since you had to remember (or check of the nth time) which quests you've done at that point in the game, or write them down, and whether or not you could do a particular quest in your current game status.

Well, I automatized the process with a simple, easy to use spreadsheet, that can open and work in Steam's Overlay (if you choose to do so).

It works as follows:

• Green = Currently available, you can do this quest right now.
  
• Yellow = Requirements not met, you need to do other quests or progress through the main story a bit more for this to go Green
  
• Red = Can't be done in this playthrough, you need to start a new one, or beat the game to keep the current savefile.

It also tells you which state the game is on (Purple), this isn't relevant for quests per se, but, it's useful to know when the merchants are going to get new equipment or when a particular monster starts appearing in the overworld.

Every Side Quest has been linked to the wiki page for more information, should you need it.

This spreadsheet doesn't know whether or not you're half way through a quest or almost done. This is important to know because some quests fail in the MIDDLE of a main story quest, not starting it. Keep that in mind so you don't check any boxes of quests you haven't finished.

It is also important to know that a couple quests are dependent of NPCs, and at times, those NPCs will be unavailable for story reasons. If you see a quest failing when the spreadsheet says it shouldn't have, it's probably this. The actual reason for this is SPOILERS: If you get to the end of the game (Deny Salvation) and The Dragon decides to take your beloved, and that NPC happens to be necesary to a quest that you haven't finished, that quest will automatically fail, even though it theoretically fails later in the story. The only quests affected by this, to my knowledge, is Search Party and Duchess in Distress. If Reynald or Aelinore are your beloved, those quests have to be finished even before Deny Salvation.

Last but not least, do not forget to check every Main Story quest you have done up until that point (say you're at Off With Your Head, do not just simply mark the quest before that, mark every quest prior to that, to avoid any miscalculations)

Update: Fixed a couple issues:

• Mistakently believed that Bad Business was available after Trial and Tribulations and Griffin's Bane, when in fact, it is available after Pride before a Fall and Wyrmking's Ring is completed.
  
• Mistakenly believed that Stage 3 started after being able to do any Wyrm Hunt quests. It is in fact started when you complete any Wyrm Hunt Quest.

If you used the spreadsheet before this update, you need to copy the newly updated version.

• Open the link
  
• Click on the top left: File > Make a Copy (you need to be logged in your google acc)
  
• You can start editing the file (I suggest you don't touch anything but the DONE column, but it's your choice)

It doesn't matter what you write in the DONE section, as long as it isn't empty, the Spreadsheet will do the necessary calculations.
