The KotOR II Extension Mod Guide
1) Intro & Important information
Hello, and welcome to my mod guide! This guide will lead you through the simple task of installing some mods that will expand upon and add some quality of life improvements to KotOR II: TSL!
Before we get started, here are a few things you need to know:
- You will have to make a new save after installing these mods. Most, if not all of them, require you to start an entirely new game to see the effects.
- Make sure to install these mods in the order I have them listed. They are in order for compatibility, to prevent any mod file overwriting.
- DO NOT USE STEAM WORKSHOP FOR MODS. This seems like a no-brainer, but make sure to use the links I provide in this guide. Make sure you unsubscribe to all steam workshop mods you have installed.
- Also, I will not be explaining how to install the mods, each one should come with installation instructions on the mod page. If you encounter any warnings with the installers, just ignore them.
With that out of the way, let's get started!
2) Widescreen stretching fixes
These mods will help your game UI look a little less stretched in most places.
- Widescreen UI Fix for Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords [deadlystream.com]
- Improved Widescreen Experience [deadlystream.com]
- TSL Main Menu Model Fix for Widescreen [deadlystream.com]
3) The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod
KotOR II is a great game, but it is famously unfinished due to rushed production. Luckily, a lot of content was found, and these mods do a fine job adding it to the game.
- TSL Restored Content Mod [deadlystream.com]
- TSLRCM Dialog Overhaul [deadlystream.com]
- Unofficial TSLRCM Tweak Pack [deadlystream.com]
4) Community patch
This one is a compilation of smaller unofficial bugfix mods. Simple as that.
- KOTOR 2 Community Patch [deadlystream.com]
5) Gameplay extension mods
These mods are all worth it when it comes to expanding upon the universe, dialogue and overall experience of KotOR II.
- Extended Carth Meeting [deadlystream.com]
- Extended Enclave [deadlystream.com]
- Extended Enclave Patch [deadlystream.com]
- Extended Ending [deadlystream.com]
- Extended Korriban Arrival [deadlystream.com]
6) Optional recommended mods
These mods are totally optional, but as a veteran player, I highly recommend them.
- Remove Restrictions for Force Powers by Armors [deadlystream.com]
- Repair Your Airspeeder... Again! [deadlystream.com]
- Visas Unmasked! [deadlystream.com]
- Handmaiden and Female Exile - Disciple and Male Exile Romance [deadlystream.com]
7) In conclusion
And there you have it. This has been my favorite game since I was 12 years old, so it's honestly great to see mods that fix and restore cut content. Don't be surprised if I find more quality of life mods and add them to this guide over time. Hope you guys enjoy these mods!
