Tips and Tricks To Dragon's Dogma
Tips
1.) Look Everywhere
This may seem like an obvious tip but there are a lot of surprising little secrets hidden away that are easily missed, and often some of these hidden nooks and crannies hold some of the best loot. This especially holds true in Bitterblack Island as well as Gran Soren and Cassardis. While not every discovery may hold some valuable loot or unique monster, the ones that do make searching for them worth it. There are also some unique items and materials you can find hidden away behind some bushes or behind a pile of boxes, so take the initiative and search everywhere.
2.) Talk to Everyone
Another seemingly obvious one but you would be surprised how much dialogue there really is in this game. Most characters will have two to three lines of dialogue before they repeat their last line, and as you progress through the game they will say different things based on your progression and some will close off their dialogue tree based on their opinion of you. While this may not be the most important tip, I find these unique lines and interactions interesting and enjoyable. For example, in Gran Soren there is a guy who believes you to be a fake and comments on that when you try to talk to him, and at one point even comments that you found some people willing to follow you around and look like pawns, which is honestly one of my favorite interactions I've had. Oh and I mean I guess you might come across some rare and unique quests doing this but really, who cares about stuff like that?
3.) Loot Everything
And I mean everything. The scrap iron that you have nearly fifty of in your storage? Loot it. The hundreds of leapworm jelly? Loot it. That duplicate low tier weapon that you were using 15 levels ago? Loot it. Loot everything, and here's why. You can sell everything that you don't need to any trader, and all materials can be kept in your storage for later combinations or to use for enhancing. At the start of the game you may find this to be obvious and will do this anyways, it's when you are beginning to think that this seems pointless is actually when you need it the most. Normally at this point in the game you are finally beginning to amass enough gold to be able to constantly be able to buy the next step of equipment, but you also beginning to hit a dry spot of when the next level comes, and are now needing to enhance your weapons and armor to the next step, and now is when all those materials are necessary.

Tricks
1.) Escort Quests
This is one that may be well known, but the person you are escorting will follow you through a ferrystone teleport, which means that if your destination is at the end point you will automatically complete the quest without having to actually escort them. This makes those quests a lot easier to complete and often free xp and gold once you have acquired a few portcrystals.
2.) Pawn Tools
Another one that may be well known but pawns will actually use various tools that are left on them, this includes items such as lanterns, pickaxes, and arrows. In the dark pawns will automatically equip lanterns, and when near mining locations pawns and out of combat pawns will walk over and mine sometimes. The mining sometimes falters and is ignored, but most of the time it works. Arrows will be equipped when fighting monsters of high enough caliber, so you don't need to worry about them wasting the arrows on weak creatures.
3.) Immortal Mage
This one is something I use every time for my main pawn, and whether by everyone else's decision or lack of knowledge I rarely see anyone else using this so I figured I would mention this. In the game there is a staff that has low stats comparatively, but automatically resurrects the pawn using it when they would be downed. This effect is negated by instant death effects such as the brine, petrification, falling into abyss, and Death, but otherwise it works for everything else. Legions Might is the name of it and this staff is sold by Mountebank in The Black Cat. While pricey this staff allows for a very useful support mage build, as all of the supportive mage skills are not affected by a low magick score (or at least to my knowledge they aren't), and without the need for revival they can basically be left alone, allowing you to focus on your other two pawns and the enemy.

End
This will probably be updated as more come to mind or to fix grammar or spelling of some sentences but hopefully this is helpful so far. I am by no means an expert but I have played this game for some time and hopefully there is something I know that will help people.
