Torgue Build for Mechromancer for Borderlands 2

Torgue Build for Mechromancer

Overview

If you enjoy being the Center of Attention, you may enjoy this build. Utilizing a Black Hole sheild, a good Torgue relic and the explosive power of Mr. Torgue Flexington’s weaponry you too can become a Second Wind specialist. If you enjoy running into the fight instead of hanging in the background you really got to try this.

She’s Not Electrical: She’s Torgue’s Little Girl

Sporting her Torgue skin Gaige is deceptively deadly.
This is my skill tree for Airborne Attacks. You don’t need lots of Anarchy. For soloing place points into increasing anarchy stacks instead of Nth Shot. Shoot Marcus’s target until maxed. A Jakob’s shottie with fast reload and one shot helps.
This is the Torgue o’lish Touch (big deal, I know how to speak in enuendo) skill tree. This is used with Legendary Mod. I apologize to earlier viewers. These are the proper Trees. (I mean if your going to support a theory support Trees, Man.) Did you catch that? I meant that they are the same only different Mods. Pretty handy, huh?

The Heart

To defeat the purpose of the Smaller, Faster, Lighter skill seems like a wacky idea however consider this. A shottie that takes 4 ammo yet has a magazine size of 6 or 7 equals one good full damage potential shot and a half. With this relic you get a full 12 ammo mag. equaling 3 explosively full damage potential shots. A 2fer Herald that takes 6 ammo per shot with a mag size of 27 now has a mag size of 40. Handy in a pinch!! To be honest with you I do not know Exactly what Acct. Recovery is or does, other than to deduce that it gives Torgue weapons (does this include gurnades or sheilds?) a lot more boom power. I have tried other Torgue relics but I always come back to this one. Maybe it’s all in my head? Don’t you fret you still get the 54% reload speed from the SFL skill. Wot Wot

Since I posted I was extremely lucky to find these. Of coarse I wish Mag size was on the Acc. Recovery Relic but what’s the baby gonna do? Of coarse this changes all the fancy math I stated before about full potential shots. Just up it a little.

The Soul

This is where all the fun takes place. Important Note: Sharing is Caring skill is key. When Death trap loses his/her sheild all surrounding enemies are sucked toward him where he/she will either Flurry (spin quickly for melee damage, Oh snap thats why I beefed up those seemingly usless melee skills) or Clap (which will then blow the emeny away from him/her) depending on each ones cooldown rate. Since most enemies will gravitate towards attacking Deathtrap you can pick them off when he/she implodes or run in slagging to assist. While assisting you will take damage therefore activating your own sheild pulling the enemies toward you. PINBALL ANYONE!! Now add a Lobed Quesar into the mix, you get the idea. MAJOR NOTE: The Blood Soaked Sheilds skill will recharge the Black Hole for each kill allowing you seemingly endless implosions and novas (as long as there is anything left to kill that is.) The Close Enough skill with its chance to riccorche gives you an edge when more than one enemy is pulled toward you. If you find yourself surrounded just aim at the ground and unload. Since explosive damage has a small radius this is one instance where the 33+k x’s 16 damage of a Ravager with 26% accuracy and 3 full shots before reload really comes in handy. (Gage giggles knowing some of those are crotch shots.) Believe it or not, after you know your sheild has activated croutch down. Enemies get pulled backwards so if you watch closely they have to take the time to recover and turn around. For a split second they don’t know where you are. Once they see you they try to back up fast. This is the time for bloodshed. Except for big dudes, they just pound you activating your sheild again. Final Major Note: If you let your party know whats going on you can run into almost any situation while they hang back and focus all fire power on you. You will Second Wind so much that eventually they can not get to you in time. It’s only money. These dang NOTES: Try running towards an edge or cliff when sheild activates to sling shot enemies off. Sounds crazy but running during the implosion seems to throw enemies farther. Just one more NOTE please: I have never done the slingshot on purpose but it does happen quite a bit.

The Front Line

Now with a 6 1/2 shot magazine as oppossed to a 4 1/2 shot magazine without the relic a little slag goes a long way. Great for Second Winds. It’s Torgue you know.
Slow you say? Inaccurate you say? Gaige can say It smells like Piss and Nachos before you reload you say? Try taking this in the face while you are recovering from being sucked into a vortex slagged in mid air and dropped at the feet of a beautiful killer. Or your hiding behind some wooden crates that can stop launcher damage and your reloading as fast as you can and the last thing you see is Death From Above, You might have a different opinion.
I’ve tried the rest so I will stick to the best. The inaccuracy is a plus when attempting to hit flying objects. Discord and the Better Half skill make for some crazy fire rate.
PUT THE NORFLEET DOWN!! The Tunguska I carry has a lower damage than others I have seen but with the relic this one has 9 shots. That’s 4 1/2 shots. You won’t be running through blowing everything away so that all the other players have nothing to shoot at. (ya I said it, that is BORING!) You will however come across many instances where you are down and your Black Hole sheild has done it’s job and brought enemies under it’s large blast radius. Do Not Panic hitchhikers, simply point at the ground while a friend is reviving you and it will protect you and your friend until you either Second Wind or Kill Revive. Just another NOTE: This will kill you if you time it wrong. Do not unload your magazine like you would a 2 shot Norfleet (Gaige snickers at the innuendo. Overcompensating are we?) Take your time and fire one at a time until you are standing again. I have yet to be able to run out of it’s blast area which means the enemy can’t either, DUH!

The Support Group

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. But as fun and inventive as Torgue can be I still bet on the Ravager for 16 reasons. This is more for distance shooting. This build is up close and in your face. It is however, a must in the backpack.
Great gun! Once you get the magazine down far enough to activate Better Half. You’ll see. Keep in backpack for sure though.
Umm. I think I need it but it seems to stay in inventory even though, EVEN THOUGH!, it has almost 1 1/2 mil damage.
Suprise Suprise Suprise. This Gomer looking launcher works very well for distance kills with this build. Quest item upon finishing Hyperion Battle Dome.
This goes with the Airborne Skill Tree.
This goes with the other.
For those tough days when your just not feeling fresh. Sheriff’s or Deputies badge sold seperately. You have a pistol. You have a shottie. Tina says its time to party. Wot Wot. Thats a rhyme I wrote.
Let’s all sing together now Torgue style. THIS IS MY RIFLE, THIS IS MY GUN! THIS IS FOR SHOOTING AND THIS IS FOR FUN! (end with sick guitar solo.) There are Tina/Torgue machine guns as well as the Kerblaster but with all the hoohaa surrounding their stats they seem to just sit there all pretty like.

Gurnade Selection

Pinpoint Accuracy. Major slag. Run in while its going off. Take self inflicted damage activating sheild. Kill. This is for suicide missions and for general rofl-ing. But its Torgue, ya know?
Great for Regifting<3
Slag, Throw, Run and Hide!! Pick off survivors.

Where ya going Shuga? We gonna play some pinball! Not only do you bring them in close it will cause self inflicted damage setting off your sheild for a second implosion and if Deathtrap is close by that is a third. MOOBBOOMOOBOOMOOBOOM! Or MOOBOOM3 x’s (OMG/wtf). Do you smell Ozone? Hello?

The Girl Scout Motto

BE PREPARED. You will need to grab your favorite Corrosive and Fire weapons for back up. The Slagga pretty much takes care of shields. If you still don’t feel comfortable taking down sheilds this way then try the chahuahua for shock/slag combo.

IF YOU MUST, a short essay on the Bee Sheild

Fooled Ya. Can’t figure out why you ALWAYS need a Bee Sheild. Does it work with this build? Fer sure dude but like when bees are sad they make no honey and the world becomes less sweet.

Boss Builds

Sporting the Swordsplosion. (sick air guitar solo) A must when dispatching Dragons. Keep The Front Line swapping shotties.

For Pyro Pete I usually switch to an Evolution Sheild and a Rightsizing ♥♥♥♥♥ instead of Black Hole and Ravager leaving the Slagga and Herald. Keep launcher for spider kill revives.

For Terramorphous I keep The Front Line but utilize the Airborne Mod and Skill Tree. Terra is big so accuracy doesn’t really matter. The Longbow Bouncing Betty is used to slag. Just keep throwing them. You can get more on the ground just run out and get it. Did you know that if you are on top of Terra when he surfaces you take no damage? Did you know that if you are Airborne you do major damage? Shoot down and hope you don’t go over the edge. It does take timing. Just keep plugging away with the Herald and Slagga. I never use the Ravager so if you want a third gun to feel safe take your pick. (shhh Bee Sheild optional)
These two shots show how I’m launched away to safety while Terra pounds Deathtrap. Or your friends (giggles)
This is that with video. (sorry for only 30 seconds, it’s a free version. I will be getting the full version for recording soon.)
CHECK IT OUT! NO SHEILD DAMAGE!

For Hyperious I equip (drum roll please) THE BEE! Not really and a Longbow Quesar. This pic is right after first nova with the Black Hole Shield. DISCORD! Fire as fast as you can with Herald. Run and Jump. Use Deathtrap to distract. Use Discord a lot. Make sure friends are present to revive. Lobing a few launcher shots doesn’t hurt either. If you want to make sure you don’t run out of Quesars you can always equip the Torgue Boom Blaster which throws out nodes that restore one gurnade and one rocket.

Now that you get the idea. Play around with the other Bosses and weapons swaps. If you figure out Master Gee let me know. (other than poison and run and hide)

Building Anarchy (Is it worth it?)

The Simple Explanation:
In order to get to Rational Anarchist you need to chose one of these three skills. Blood Soaked Sheilds is not an option. Get it no matter what build you play with. I strongly believe in Discord which I will explain later. Do I really want only a chance for more Anarchy? Can I really get my Anarchy up to 500 and maintain it? Or do I want my base skill i.e. Deathtrap to work for me. I figure if Gaige is going to take the time to build a Mech she might as well use it. I have already beefed him/her up with Melee, Clap, Sharing is Caring, Flurry, Damage reduction and Cooldown rate. Why not give him/her the speed to get into the action quicker drawing out the enemy from their hiding spots? It’s always their first mistake. The second is being my target. When I’m down I am always suprised how many times I Second Wind when Deathtrap kills an enemy I can’t get to or don’t even see visually. The red dot is on the H.U.D. but in reality (ummm, yeah) there are crates, rocks, small walls whatever in the way. You can shoot in the general direction but even with Close Enough you might hit but not kill. If you use the Slagga you won’t kill but you have an excellent chance to give Deathtrap that 3x’s damage boost. Since they quit attacking you and focused on Deathtrap if you use the Tunguska when you Second Wind you have a better chance of getting away to regain health and sheild. You know what I’m talking about. Your up your down, your up your down.
If you want to jack your Anarchy up there are Mods and Relics of coarse. A good Jacob’s shottie with a 2 shot magazine and high fire rate can be found just about anywhere since damage doesn’t matter. Trust me, nobody is gonna Ninja Loot this rust rust. However, to build Anarchy up to 500 it takes about 5 min. or more. (feels like and hour). I simply don’t have the time for this with my Adult Attention Deficet Disorder.
Did ya think I quit doing Notes:? There is a great clip to watch from a person I have not gotten permission yet to use their video here but you can find it on the community pages. He solo’s bosses using Anarchy and a Norfleet. Check it out. (psst if you know him see if he will let me post it here.) Play around with the Anarchy Tree and find your favorite combo.

Thoust Holy Trinity (the number is 3 not 4 for it is to much)

OK, so your standing at the Lynchwood platform and you want to run to the scag puppy kennel and back. (Great place to test builds I believe.) You took the time to jack up your Anarchy up to 500. You made it back safely if all goes well. This represents normal game play not Bosses. So what? Did you really need to waste your time as well as anyone else’s who happens to wait for you to build up Anarchy.

Consider this.
Fire Herald or weapon of your choosing until you have one shot left. Switch to Slagga and go to platform and Unleash Hell. Activate Deathtrap. Switch back to Herald, you will fire once reload and gain 25 Anarchy stacks from Rational Anarchist. At this point you will probably need to jump to avoid damage so you will activate the Airborne skill which, if you are wearing the mod, decreases your Anarchy by 11. If you do this twice you now have 3 Anarchy left without another reload.
DISCORD!!
Three Anarchy stacks are enough to regen health enough so that your next kill (hopefully) restores shields fully (totally, Dude.) Your next reload gives you 25 again. Repeat. By repeating this your health should always remain high. Blood Soaked Sheild remember? Now, did you make it back safely? Did you easily Second Wind? Was Deathtrap so cool you wanted to build him another arm just for high fives? Did you worry once about how much Anarchy you were loosing? The answers are..Yep…yeppers…so cool…Nope. Here is the kicker. Discord gives you, that’s right!! Three perks. The Trinity Complete.

Yea I got video!!
Did you notice around 2:50 to 3:30 even in discord I have seemingly neverending Death From Above.

THIS MESSAGE IS IRRELEVANT

Why not More Pep or 5 Gorrillas? You are dealing explosive damage which is not included in More Pep. It might back up your back up but by how much? (yes I said that right, not a typo) You already gave Deathtrap melee damage STACKS that will accumulate as long as there are enemies to kill. Spoiler Alert!! You can use this build with any maufacturer. Just get a good Relic for that company. If you use elemental damage then put skill points into More Pep instead of Nth Shot. I hope I didn’t bore you to much with math and stuff which is why I really stay away from Fancy Mathmatics. The name alone intimidates me. Play, trade, build and rebuild. And HEY, let’s be carefull out there. ONE FINAL NOTE: I know enuendo is spelled wrong. If you know the quote you know Torgue says it. Since Torgue didn’t understand innuendo I figured he wouldn’t know how to spell it either. This joke was lost on a few people so I changed it to the proper spelling. HOWEVER since it really seemed to bother a few I decided to change it back to the joke spelling.
