Weaponsmith Achievement Guide (Metro 2033 Redux)

Achievement: Weaponsmith
Requirement: Kill at least one enemy with every available weapon in a single playthrough.

---

• I think that this achievement may not unlock when using Chapter Select. It is recommended to attempt it in a fresh playthrough to be safe.
  
• Best done on Spartan – Normal difficulty.
  
• Only one confirmed kill per weapon type is required.
  
• Missed weapons can often be purchased from shops later.

---

• Use the Revolver to kill the Nosalises in this level.

• Use the Bastard Gun obtained from Pavel to kill Nosalises until Zhenya gives you the Duplet.
  
• Finish off the rest using the Duplet.

• After walking through the tunnel, go into the service passage on the left.
  
• Pick up the Tihar from the corpse and kill a Lurker with it.
  
• If missed, you can buy it later from a shop.
  
• You can find a Throwing Knife in this level, kill one bandit with it.
  
• Try a stealth knife kill if possible; otherwise, do this later.
  
• From this level onward, start killing enemies with each grenade type whenever you can.

• Take the Kalash that Bourbon leaves behind in the vents.
  
• Kill a bandit with the Kalash.

• If you found the Uboinik (Shambler) earlier, use it to kill Nosalises at the end of the level.
  
• If not, you can find plenty of them dropped by Frontline soldiers later.

• You can buy the Helsing here, though it’s better to wait and get it for free in the Defence level.

• If you haven’t already, get your Uboinik kills here.
  
• Kill some Nazis or Communists with a grenade.

• After fighting the Nosalis, proceed until you encounter several Lurkers.
  
• Once past the Lurker area and wooden barricades, look to your left for a rebar-like entrance.
  
• Go upstairs, turn left, and you’ll find a room with a safe box and the Helsing.
  
• Pick it up and get a kill with it.

• Ulman gives you the VSV. Use it to kill enemies in the area.
  
• In the room next generator room, a Nazi commander carries an AK-2012. Pick it up and score a kill with it.

• You can buy both the AK-2012 and the Bigun here.
  
• Use them to kill a few Watchmen outside.

• Use a Sticky Grenade to kill a Librarian.
  
• This will also unlock the Heavy Reader achievement if you don’t already have it.

• Take the Hellbreath (Volt Driver) and Heavy Automatic Shotgun (Abzats) from Vladimir (weapon station).
  
• Keep them in your 1st and 3rd slots since the Flamethrower replaces the 2nd slot.
  
• Use these to kill Nosalises in the Dungeon and Caves levels.

• Use the handheld Flamethrower and any remaining weapons to kill the Nosalis horde.

• To avoid progress loss, perform all weapon kills in one continuous playthrough.
  
• Rotate weapons frequently and keep a checklist of what you’ve used.
  
• Ensure you have enough ammo and filters for later levels.
  
• The achievement unlocks once every weapon type has at least one confirmed kill.

Once every weapon type (18 total) has been used to score a kill, the Weaponsmith achievement will unlock.
