Overview
Alright, I’m bored of people pointing out numbers on the ‘T’ screen or stats on the end of game screen and using them to say ‘me better thun u lol highr dmg loool.’
Here we go!
Let me explain why this is, to put it politely, down right retarded as ♥♥♥♥.
This is the most common argument I see, you kindly point out that someone is bad at the game and they respond with ‘Press T’ leading you to see they have top damage in the team. Similarly, after the match ends (after you lose) they will point out how their damage exceeds yours. This of course makes them far better at the game than you and means the match was lost purely because of the lack of your damage. (this is sarcasm)
Let’s set the scene:
- It is a warm summers eve and you felt like shanking some gods so start a clash and choose Loki, Ao Kuang or another high damage single target god.
- Another team mate chooses a largely AoE / multi-target based god such as Ra, Poseidon (most mages, you get the idea.)
- As Loki, you go 7-2. Not bad.
- Your team mate aka AoE McDieALot proceeds to go 6-6. Boo.
- ‘Zoinks Broki press T you succ’ or ‘Omg I did 999k damage and you only did 10k wow you suck I’m better, you clearly stole all my kills.
- Single target gods, i.e. Loki can hit one god per ability and do say, 600 damage. AoE / multi-target gods can hit a maximum of 5 enemies with one ability and deal 600 damage PER god. This means a Loki would have to do his 3, 5 times to do the same amount of damage the AoE kiddy did in 1 ability.
- Single target gods are often melee / require you to be in close proximity with the enemy to hit them. This means they are likely to deal less damage as they can’t just throw abilities out, such as Poseidons 3, Ra’s 1, without putting themselves at risk. This means there will be less opportunites to deal damage to the enemy team as safety has to be considered.
This is still a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason to claim someone is bad, even if they are AoE based and have lower damage than another (in some cases, not all.)
Why?
Let’s set the scene:
- You’re playing an AoE / Multi-target god (although this can apply to any god.)
- Your teammate is playing any god, doesn’t really matter.
- You go 5-0. Not bad.
- Your team mate DiveyMcDiveInTowerOrIntoA1v5ALot goes 20-18. Boo.
- ‘Bruh, I got 20 kills and dealt 420k damage you only got 5 kills and dealt 8k damage, you sook I’m better thn u lol.’
- If you play any god and dive into 1v2, 1v3, 1v4, 1v5’s etc. You’re going to hit up to 5 enemies dealing damage to them all but trading your life in return. This will get your damage up.
- If I play someone such as Poseidon and run into a 1v5, pressing all my abilites, dying, and repeating this process over and over. You will likely get a very high damage dealt. Anyone could go 0-10 and have a higher damage dealt than anyone else on their team because they’re diving, dealing damage and dying over and over.
So, if anyone ever cries at you because of your damage, feel free to point them at this guide and allow me to explain why they need to go searching for their missing chromosomes instead of a reason to cry at you.
Thanks for reading.
