Getting past the black screen or how to actually enjoy the game

As of right now, a bunch of users will be greeted by a black screen following the initial loading screen image of Emily and Corvo. And then....nothing.

In order to fix this, simply press Alt+Enter and fix your resolution in the options menu if necessary.
