Easiest way to get Stormbringer achievement

Items you should get before starting:

Fox Blade for ranked fights
Murasama or HF blade for boss battles
Infinity Wig A (which you get by Collecting 10 officer left hands)
Infinity Wig B (which you get by Collecting 20 officer left hands)

Of course you need to have finished the game first, if you want to start a revengeance, dont click on new game but go in chapters and select a chapter in revengeance mode, else you will lose all your progress (hp, weapons and others)

To unlock revengeance mode, you need to finish the game in hard mode, which will unlock the game in very hard mode that you need to finish it to unlock the revengeance mode

If you dont want to play very hard mode you can just do the konami code in the menu (where its written press any key)

You can play any chapter in any order, expect R-07 Assassination Attempt (the last one), you need to keep that one for the end, basically after finishing this chapter it will "confirm" your run and give you the achievement (it works like this for many other achievements)

If you played one chapter but missed one battle, you cant just restart the chapter and s rank the only battle you missed, you need to s rank every single battle in the chapter

Avoid dying, as soon as you take too much damage, restart the fight, if you die the time you spent fighting will get added to the final result after you finished the battle, and that can decrease your battle rank, so make sure you have plenty of repair Nanopaste

If for some reason you arent getting the S rank in a ranked battle, restart and try again, faster and try to do more Zandatsu and more hit

One tip if you are struggling with a boss, just copy and paste the file in the menu before the fight, so if for example you fail at monsoon's fight, you can just copy and paste to fight him again directly instead of having to play the entire chapter again

To get s rank in both battles just aim for no damage

Not gonna lie this chapter isnt the easiest one, contrary to what it may seem

Once again you dont have to start with this chapter

Two of them are hidden fights, if you miss them you wont get an overall s rank for the chapter

Hidden fights locations

First one is near the bridge, that the hammerhead destroyed, after beating the hammerhead, go out of the area, go to the closed gate, then go back near the destroyed bridge and enemies should spawn, I suggest you to equip Sai to make the fight easier

Second hidden fight is near the great wheel, when you arrive there, there should be one soldier and one gekko, you need to get spotted in order to trigger the hidden fight, you will need to fight a grad and when you're done you need to go to the door as if you were going to leave the area, then come back and hammerheads should spawn

You dont need to fight those 3 guys hidden near the door, you should avoid this fight (it doesnt count to get the overral s rank)

Final boss

As written above, boss fights are easier with HF blade or Murasama, you should equip one of them before the fight starts

The requirements to get s rank against Mistral are:

Time: 4:30 (2000 BP)
BP: 2,500 (2000 BP)
Zandatsu: -
Longest Combo: 30 (2000 BP)
Kills: 25 (2000 BP)

You need 8000 BP to get the S rank

If you do all of that you can allow yourself to get hit, be careful not to die

No damage gives you 2000 BP so if you dont complete the time requirement or anything else and did no damage, you still get the s rank

One of them is a hidden fight

Hidden fight locations

You can enter this fight after beating the 2 Mastiffs and going back near the door you came from, Boris should tell you that he intercepted a call for backup, a green dot will appear on the map, go there and the fight will trigger

Final boss

For the final boss you wont have to fight one but TWO GRADS, i suggest you to bring your Fox Blade to get rid of the second one (which isnt as resistant as the first one) but first of all, try to counter parry the first attack of the main grad, this fight is can be extremely difficult so i hope you are patient

Hidden fights locations

First one is right where you spawn at the beginning of the chapter, after defeating the 2 grads and killing every remaining soldiers on the map, go near your spawn and boris should tell you he intercepted call for backup, go there and fight

Second one is on the roof tops, after you jumped from a red platform, go on the left instead of going for the stairs, you should see a chest, open it and go as if you were going to leave the area, that will trigger the fight

Last hidden fight isnt really hidden, but you can miss it, after Sam talked to Raiden we are walking slowly and we have to go throught a street filled with soldiers, you need to kill them all
Blade Fox makes this fight way easier

Final boss

For this fight you should pick HF blade or Murasama, and Sai so you dont have to use your Electromagnetic grenades when he goes in magnetic mode

This fight is extremely difficult, because you need to parry all the time and when he starts throwing tanks at you at some point its just impossible to destroy them all, you can just run away when he does that, just be careful to stay in the corners to be as far as possible from him when he does it

The requirements to get s rank against Monsoon are:

Time: 8:00 (2000 BP)
BP: 1000 (2000 BP)
Zandatsu: -
Longest Combo: 30 (2000 BP)
Kills: 1 (2000 BP)

You need 8000 BP to get the S rank

If you do all of that you can allow yourself to get hit, be careful not to die

No damage gives you 2000 BP so if you dont complete the time requirement or anything else and did no damage, you still get the s rank

There are 12 ranked fights in this chapter in total
Three of them are hidden fights

Should equip Fox Blade and Wig A this time (for the second fight of the chapter)

Hidden fight locations

First hidden fight, at the elevators when the guards are raiding the building, instead of running in the elevator when its ready, you need to stay and fight, this is probably the worst fight in the game, it takes a lot of time (~10-15min), the difficulty here comes from the magnetic wall that separates you from the enemies, meaning that you have to fight them with the rocket launcher and the turrets
When you're done with the soldiers things dont get better, now you have to fight a grad, without being able to reach it with your sword, what you need to do to defeat it is to switch between electromagnetic grenades and rocket launcher, one by one, this takes a lot of time, just try not to die and you dont have to do no damage on this one

Second hidden fight you could miss is in the elevator after it got damaged by rocket launchers, dont jump on the other plateform just yet, you need to fight every single enemies, the last one will drop a data storage and then you can jump on the other plateform

Last one is in the arena where you fought mistral and monsoon, defeat them and go to sundowner, after the cinematic you need to go back in the arena and fight the enemies

Final boss

For this fight you should pick HF blade or Murasama, Pole Arm to get enough combo and Wig B

This fight is pretty easy when you know what you have to do to get the S rank, thanks to this guide this will be easy!

Most people dont know it but, when you are going back to the top of the building with the Sliders, you can shoot with it, so you can destroy enemies and debris that are on your way

The requirements to get s rank against Sundowner are:

Time: 5:00 (2000 BP)
BP: 400 (2000 BP)
Zandatsu: 2 (2000 BP)
Longest Combo: 50 (2000 BP)
Kills: 3 (2000 BP)

You need 10000 BP to get the S rank

No damage gives you 2000 BP so if you dont complete the time requirement or anything else and did no damage, you still get the s rank

There are 4 ranked fights in this chapter in total
Only one of them is a hidden fight

You can go through the chapter and do the 3 first fights, the last one is just after the place where the hostage is, keep going until you see the gate with the 2 Mastiffs, in this street you should see the door you went through when you came from the underground of the city, destroy the door and go in the building, go in the small room, try to go back outside and it should trigger a fight with 3 Mastiffs

Jetstream Sam fight

Should equip Murasama or HF Blade and Wig B

The requirements to get s rank against Sam are:

Time: 3:00 (2000 BP)
BP: 1000 (2000 BP)
Zandatsu: -
Longest Combo: 50 (2000 BP)
Kills: 1 (2000 BP)
No Damage: 2000 BP

You need 10000 BP to get the S rank

The only "difficulty" here is to get 50 hits, you can get them easily at the end of the fight when you are in blade mode to disarm sam, hit him 50 times and then finish the battle

There are 3 ranked fights in this chapter in total

The first battle is against the soldiers at the gate, then the other 2 fights are the metal gear and armstrong

Final boss

You need 10000 BP to get the S rank

Small difficulty against MG ExcelSUS is to get those combo, to easily get them you can go in blade mode when the MG's head is falling near Raiden after he cut off one of the legs and hit it 80 times

Dont forget to kill at least 3 Gekkos and to do zandatsu on 2 of them

The requirements to get s rank against Armstrong are:

Time: 5:00 (2000 BP)
BP: 800 (2000 BP)
Zandatsu: 1 (2000BP)
Longest Combo: 100 (1000 BP)
Kills: 1 (1000 BP)
No Damage: 2000 BP

You need 10000 BP to get the S rank

Armstrong is a pretty easy fight, just keep in mind that the fight starts on the back of the MG Excelsus, dont get any damage when you are disarmed because this counts, try to avoid armstrong but dodging and jumping around, dont worry the rest of the fight will trigger after a few minutes, you dont need to hit Armstrong at all

To get 100 hits you should wait for armstrong to heal and go in blade mode to hit him 100 times
