2. Click on "Sound"
3. Go to recording devices, right click the window and tick both
"Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices"

Fixing the menu and HUD for higher resolutions
Download the latest version of the SWBF2 Remastered mod
https://www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-battlefront-ii-full-hd-interface/downloads
And simply install using the installer.
If you prefer the original HUD over the bigger one, go to
Star Wars Battlefront II/Gamedata/data/_lvl_pc/remaster
Make a backup of StockHUDHD.lvl, delete the one in the remaster folder and rename StockHUD.lvl to StockHUDHD.lvl
Note: This mod comes with a customised version of Unofficial patch 1.3, too so you don't have to install it afterwards or beforehand.

IMPROVEMENTS
Customisable shaders and support for maps with PBR materials
Install shader patch from here:
https://github.com/SleepKiller/shaderpatch/releases
I highly suggest using the preview versions as they feature a lot of new features that are not in stable releases, yet.
You can also use various shaders in similar way to Reshade. The key to open the effects system interface is \ by default.

Restoring vehicle cockpits
Due to Star Wars Battlefront II's rushed development, there was no time to properly implement cockpits like in Star Wars Battlefront I, but they can be still restored using this file:

Star Wars Battlefront I maps
You can easily get the maps from the 2004 Battlefront I in Battlefront II using Marvel4's conversion pack 1.1:
https://www.moddb.com/games/star-wars-battlefront-ii/downloads/marvel4s-conversion-pack
Note:
This mod has nothing to do with Conversion Pack 2.2 (which features less accurate versions of SWBF1 maps ported by a different person and some new gamemodes and eras)

Conclusion
If anything new arises, I will update this guide accordingly. I hope it helped. Enjoy!
