How to cook Gohan

Gohan

The word "gohan" in Japanese simply means "cooked rice" and simultaneously "food in general." In reality, this in itself hints at its cultural importance: in Japan, rice is such a central food that it has become synonymous with nutrition. When someone says "gohan," they may be referring not to a specific recipe, but to the act of eating. This reflects an ancient agrarian civilization, where rice was not a side dish, but the basis of existence.
It is precisely because of the developer's love for Japanese culture that Kenshi incorporates so many such elements.

Recipe

Ingredients: (Serves 2-3)
rice (short-grain or regular) - 200 g
water - 350-420 ml (depending on the variety)
salt - a pinch (optional, the original recipe often doesn't have any)
any vegetables (optional)

Preparation:
Rinse the rice thoroughly 2-4 times until the water becomes less cloudy.
Pour the rice into a saucepan and add 350-420 ml of water.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 12-15 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let sit for 10 minutes, uncovered.
Add chopped vegetables (optional) before serving.

Bon appetit!
