How to not crash while loading 'Below the Thunder'

I found out that the game only crashes when loading 'Below the Thunder' when the female suit voice is activated.
Go to your System Settings to turn the suit voice off.
Try to load afterwards.

Since writing this guide, there were some people who still crashed while loading that level. At least once, it helped to turn off sounds completely before starting.
