How To Sustain Your Faith While Also Living Life On The Edge.

Faith is an abstract notion while belies the human condition and stems from a sense of trust and of belonging ideologically and also, to an extent spiritually to an idea, concept, person, group etc etcetera. One can see examples of faith as a concpt throughout life, such as your goldfish getting pissed at you when you forget to feed him - which is an example of something you should do when you are attempting to erase faith.

Anyways, the naming of Faith, the character, has significant literary impacts on the nature of the gameplay expeience, which is why it is highly important for the player to understand the naming of Faith. Without this vital knowledge, the player will be subject to side effects such as dizziness, nausea, feelings of heartbreak, itching all over, blackheads on the nasal area, pinkeye, headlice, decreased eyesight, low libido, extremely high libido, hair loss, and a general distaste in flirtation.

Faith is an ectomorphic young man with a six pack who runs around shirtless on rooftops for the visual pleasure of the birds and nosy reporters on the rooftops.

I kid I kid. Faith is a delicate, REALLY DELICATE CHARACTER wh can run REAAAL fast but dies REEEAL fast while running around on the rooftops.
To understand Faith firsty one needs to analyse her sense of fashion.






Everything about Faith' appearance points to the utter psychological delicacy of this character. Note the thickly chopped chin-grazing bob, which does allude to a fragile sort of nature. The smple bt runway eye makeup achieves a striking effect to portray an almost bird-like mentality of flight rather than fight; which defines the Runners' creed as well as anything.
The recurring usage of red is symbolic of an underlying passion which is not suitably expressed n other aspects of Faith's character or costume. Juxtaposed with the sound effects of the heavy breathing, this is indicative of an intensity of life present in this character, which is normally kept nder wraps by the stoic countenance and measured dialogue.

The yellow bag is an interesting touch. What does it symbolise, and what does it bring to the character of Faith?

In the previous chapter, we posed the rhetorical question for you to ponder upon: why is Faith carrying a yellow Runners' bag?
I'll answer it for you anyway: because yellow is the colour of friendzone.

Too many people do not understand the power of yellow as a symbol for friendzoning. If you give someone yellow roses then it means you only like them as a friend. I don't think it applies to all flowers, because in The Hours the running motif for death and decay were yellow flowers, whch..isn't exactly a great omen either.


















From this, we can draw three conclusions:
a) That Faith has been frendzoned
b) That Faith is off to friendzone somebody, probably a handbag maker
c) The Runners are actually kind of like..antitheses of cupids, and deliver friendzone letters to people.

I like option (c) the best, and hasten to communicate to you why you should literally stay away from yellow roses:
1. Yellow is literally a hard colour to wear anyway. Too many people buy yellow heels on a sale thinking they're going to pair it with a magenta dress (like..why. Please. Why.). Plus you friendzone every ant you step on.

2. Very few people look good in yellow anyway unless you're me who looks good anyways all the time.

3. Yellow flowers attract too many bees anyway.

4. Yellow with black looks good though and that's why Faith wears a black top and red gloves. That's like..colour blocking, in a game.

Therefore, to succeed in your romantic endeavours, always opt for white, pink or red. Plus you can't go wrong with red anyway. Blue is a better colour though because it's my favourite colour and in Mirror's edge, the skyline is literally blue all the time.

Mirror's Edge does have very meagre instances where it uses green, namely the elevator in the office building.















This is particularly symbolic as the city itself is devoid of any natural greenery.
So why chose to use such a colour in a discordant fashion int eh Orwellian city of Mirror's Edge?
Because green is literally the colour of Fall 2012 and anyways I really like this green dress look:















Therefore the usage of green is actually a subliminal message about my dress preferences.

To understand the character of Faith, one must become faith, which means that you must be a petite little girl. Well actually you just have to understand that behind the stoic facade of Faith, lies an orphan who was brought up in a tumultuous time in the hands of outcasts. Driven to the skies and rooftops she lies estranged from her sister, who has divided the persona of faith into a dichotomy. This is, after all, a game about whether the truth and avoidance of censorship is more important than familial bonds, and whether the fraility of the main character is an emblem of the breakable structure of familial bonds is yet to be ascertained.
