Iron Snout Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Tips for Beating Wolves (Unarmed)
This will, however, not allow you to collect the chainsaw (as the wolf would be at the very end of one side of your screen). The above method is just for if you want them to go away because they're so damn annoying. Alternatively, you can kick them in the face repeatedly, but they would have to walk back and forth a couple of times. You just have to choose based on your situation, because sometimes you will see them in packs of wolves or alone, so just choose the best method for how much leeway you have.
When facing a high-flying wolf, you can use a jump attack to knock the rocket out of control. While this is more difficult than waiting for it to fly low to the ground, the rocket spinning out will kill more wolves for you.
Tips for Melee Weapons/Projectiles
- If a projectile is thrown, you can duck under it, then grab it as it goes past. Now the weapon is yours!
- You can deflect projectiles with held melee weapons. Just be careful doing this, as this will use up 1 count of your weapon's durability.
- When a melee weapon breaks, it will splinter into two pieces. The handle will be left in your hand which can be thrown to damage/knock back wolves. The other piece will fly upwards, and on it's way down can be grabbed and used in the same way as the handle. These airborne weapons can also be deflected with a whole melee weapon as stated above.
- The blade projectile (dropped from killing a chainsaw wolf) is unique, because a) when thrown at a wolf, it will kill it in one shot, and b) it will drop one more time only to be used again.
- When you kill a wolf with an attack that makes them fly upwards into the air, their head will be dropped as a regular projectile that can be caught and thrown or deflected.
- You can avoid flying projectiles by double jumping or pressing the left arrow key in midair. Just make sure you won't get hit by a rocket wolf!
