Introduction

Hello everybody I'm O_O_O from EU and welcome to my Ivan advanced movement guide for Gunz 2,

In this guide I will be showing you advanced and basic movement techniques for Ivan The Silent Avenger.

Movement Mechanics

Movement is the most important aspect of this game so we will start with the basic dash of Ivan

Basic dash: W>W>JUMP>W>W Repeat

It should look like something in the video

The next dash is an offensive dash mainly used in gladiator

Offensive dash: W>W>JUMP>W>W>ATTACK (melee) Repeat *RECOMMENDED*

It should look like this

You can also make the offensive dash a bit faster and block a few bullets at a time while doing it

Offensive dash (EX): W>W>JUMP>W>W>SHIFT(tap not hold)>ATTACK (melee)

There is one last dash which is an defensive dash it is much harder to pull of but rewarding once you've mastered it

Defensive dash: W>W>JUMP>W>ATTACK (melee) Repeat
(NOTE): don't dash after the jump only press W once

It should look like this

Now for some advanced techniques on movement.

Half-step: This is when you dash cancel in mid air by switching your weapons in between the dash animation to gain a shorter dash. This could be useful in many situations. If you are facing a skilled opponent they will know the distance of a normal dash and can easily predict where you will be moving, using the half step technique you could make it harder for the enemy to predict what spot you will end up on and in some situations could save your life.

The half-step side dash: JUMP>D (or) A>D (or) A> ATTACK (melee)> Switch weapon
NOTE: This must be done very quickly in order to take effect

It should look like this:

Movement on walls:

Moving on walls is a important factor in this game it could give you the advantage over your opponent just by simply using it effectively. To move quickly and over walls and on them you have to use wall jumping

Wall Jumping: (While gliding on walls) A>JUMP>W>W Go back on the wall and repeat
Note: This has to be done very quickly in order to be effective

If you do it correctly it should look like this:

For movement on walls there is also a technique called wall bouncing which allows you to stay on the wall and still dodge and move freely.

Wall bounce: JUMP>D (or) A>D (or) A>JUMP Repeat
Note: Has to be done in quick succession to be used

It should look like this

Climbing walls:

To climb walls the fastest way you have to use the wall jumping technique.
Here's a basic demonstration of how you should climb large walls using the wall jumping technique.

Wall dashing:

Wall dashing is a very fast and efficient way to move around the map quickly.
(While directly facing a wall or directly against a wall):
JUMP>D (or) A>D (or) A>JUMP Repeat quickly
Note: Must be repeated quickly to work well

It should look like this
