Online Multiplayer Guide

As of 2024, it strongly appears that the official multiplayer server has been pulled from existence and won't be coming back. Over 10 years of online support has been noteworthy.

However, that will not stop us from playing the game online together with our friends. One option that many have resorted to, is a Hotseat game with Steam's Remote Play Together. That however, means having to alternate turns with the other player(s) and having the ability to see what other players are doing, which may not be preferable.

As of version 0.9.63000, Fixers Vanilla Patch supports Local Area Network (LAN) games.

This means that if you are connected to the same local area network, either physically or remotely with a service like Hamachi, you can play as you would have played in the official multiplayer server, with simultaneous turns.

Download and install Fixers Vanilla Patch:

Make sure that you download a version with a version number 0.9.63000 or higher.

Download and install Hamachi:

Other Virtual LAN service providers such as OneZeroTier should also work but have not been confirmed as of the writing of this guide.

Create or Join a Hamachi server.

Launch Eador Masters of the Broken World.
It is necessary that this comes after you have connected to the LAN.

Enter Multiplayer menu and select LAN.

Ensure that your IP displayed in the LAN game lobby is identical to the IP displayed in the Hamachi client.
If not, you will need to ensure that the Hamachi IP takes priority either by disabling other IPs in your computer's network settings or by changing the IP priorities.
The game can only pick up the foremost active IP used by your computer.
Restart Eador Masters of Broken World if you have made changes to the IPs.

Create a new game or join a game created by another user in the same network.
To connect to another player's game, feed his/her IP (which you can find in the Hamachi client) in the IP box in the LAN game lobby and click Connect.

Decide on your game settings and start the game.
