Put PS3 quality cutscenes in the steam version
Walkthrough
The Steam version of this game has awful cutscenes that are very compressed causing visual muddiness and also a lack of quality (and even proper volume) to the sound of the FMV cutscenes.
Thankfully, someone uploaded higher quality files ripped from the PS3 version which you can just insert into your game folder.
Steps:
- Go to this link[www.pcgamingwiki.com] and download the file linked in step 1 (it's a big one but quality comes at a price).
- Right click on Mortal Kombat (9) in your steam library and go to "Manage" then click "Browse local files" to open the folder where the game's files are kept. Open the folder called "Disc Content PC".
- (Optional) create a new folder called "OldMovies" and transfer the old movie files in the "Movies" folder to the new folder for safe keeping.
- Move the new movie files you downloaded to the folder "Movies" (replace the old ones if they're still there).
And there you go, with that simple install you're ready to play Mortal Kombat's story mode with higher fidelity and most importantly improved sound.
