Robot Ginger's Exterminatus Strategies and Glitches

Intro

This is a work in progress. I'm just adding stuff as I remember it while playing. If you have any suggestions feel free to comment or message me and I can add your secrets. If it's original I can even give you credit if you care about that sort of thing.

Eventually I want to include:
  • Good class builds for exterminatus (ie assault, tactical, devastator)
Not to self: Organize this by general strategies, then class strategies, and then loadout strategies by class
  • Team composition strategies (For example having a lascannon to kill shooter nobs)
  • Glitches for different classes / weapons that make it easier to stay alive
  • Glitch points (where melee orks can't see you or they will have to travel a long indirect route to get to you
  • Ammo conservation strategies and classes (might put this under something else)
  • Enemy behavior, weaknesses (what stuns or staggers them), and attacks. Also might include glitch and regular combos by each enemy and what the effect is (example: ground-charge/shoulder bash followed by a stun makes the Ultra Marines with chainswords in Chaos Exterminatus become stunned)

Point capture strategies

  • Ork herding- when you and your team are capturing a point and you are being overwhelmed by enemies, and can't kill them all, or stay alive a good strategy is to have one player "collect" as many orks as possible (the melee based ones) and just run them around in circles far away from your group and the capture point. There's a limited number of enemies that can spawn so if they're all chasing one player your teammates can capture the points easily. This is more difficult if there are lots of ranged/shooter orks though. So kill any shooters that you can so you don't get gunned down while herding the other orks around. Also if your teammates are shooting into you group tell them to stop or more shooters and squigs might spawn and murder you and your teammates.
  • Spawn manipulation- Only so many orks can spawn at one time (I haven't counted them so I don't know how many it is). Usually a team is more likely to die when too many of the orks that have spawned are shooter/rocket orks. So if you prioritize killing shooters as soon as you can and have mostly melee orks left it will be much easier to stay alive. It's much easier to dodge being hit with a big stick or knife from an ork than it is to dodge bullets or rockets.
  • Overtime glitching (lets you capture points past the time limit)- when you play exterminatus levels with multiple points it gets much more difficult. If you run out of time and no one is on the final point if someone stays on top of an old point that has already been captured (or even a challenge point (if I remember right)) you won't trigger a defeat if no one else is on the uncaptured point. Also if you die on the point as long as your lifeless corpse is still there and your teammates are alive you can still capture the point. If they leave their point though it will trigger a defeat (if I remember right... I need to verify a bunch of stuff and test it.
