Introduction

This guide will tell you where to find files included with Doom which can be removed, in order to save hard drive space. Categories are in descending order of space saved.

You may free up as much as 13.3GB.

Multiplayer Maps

Deleting the multiplayer maps will save you 5.25GB of HDD space.

Alternate Languages

Doom includes voiceover audio for ten languages. Chances are, you aren't using all of them.

Each language is in its own subfolder.

The company logos and copyright information are all in one video file. Deleting it saves both HDD space and startup time; 18.7MB and up to 28 seconds (depending on how fast your computer loads the game), respectively.
