Xbox Controller Fix

The purpose of this guide is to help out those of us who would like to use a controller for Assassin's Creed II but think that the defualt configuartion is unbearable. Also because I have seen this issue show up many times on the discussions.

Download the file here[www.dropbox.com] and extract it using a program like 7-zip or Win-rar

Take both files, x360ce.ini and xinput1_3.dll, and copy them to the Assasin's Creed II folder which is located in your steam folder, in my case at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Assasin's Creed II

When you start up the game, the controls should be set to a more intuitive layout similar to many of today's other games
Edit: Once installed, you still need to make sure that your controls are set to the gamepad in the in-game settings.
