Far Cry 3 Achievement Guide

Story related: Earned after completing the first story mission.

Places the player can unlock this at include:

• A mountain at x: 442 & y: 651 features a glider. You can fly off over the water and drop into the ocean.
  
• There is a large sinkhole filled with water at x: 500 & y: 800. Look for the highest cliff, then fall in.
  
• During a mission in which you take a plane and fly to the second island, you can jump off the plane. Do so over the water and don't deploy your wingsuit.

Earned through natural game progression.

Requires buying 5 different skills. Each skill results in a new tattoo.

Experience points can be earned upon the completion of almost any activity in the game. This includes:

• Completing main or side missions
  
• Liberating Outposts (Extra experience if no alarms are activated or if done entirely stealthy)
  
• Killing enemies (Extra experience if a takedown is preformed)
  
• Acquiring a collectable

Earned through natural game progression.

You can find a shop at almost every fast travel location.

Conveniently, this achievement does not require you spend the money all at once.

After selecting a weapon, purchase every available attachment and paint job for it.

Earned through natural game progression.

Requires liberating all 34 outposts in the game.

There are 20 outposts on the northern island, and 14 outposts on the southern island.

Requires liberating an outpost entirely in stealth.

If you liberated every outpost and still missed this achievement, you can reset all outposts via the Options menu and try again.

This achievement can be completed on the first island.

There are 11 Radio Towers on the northern island, and 7 Radio Towers on the southern island.

120 relics exist in total, but the player must collect just 60 for this achievement.

Purchasing the appropriate "Items" map will make all Relics visible on the map.

The player must collect 20 letters spread throughout both islands.

Purchasing the appropriate "Items" map will make all Letters of the Lost visible on the map.

The player must collect 20 Memory Cards to earn this achievement.

Purchasing the appropriate "Items" map will make all Memory Cards visible on the map.

Unlocked through natural game progression.

Performing general player actions (hunting, collecting plants, discovering new locations, meeting new people) will unlock a journal entry.

Can be found on the bulletin board of various liberated outposts. They are side missions that require the player hunt specific animals using a specific weapon.

Supply Drops are a set of side missions that require the player race toward a target within the time limit. The blue cross icon on the map indicates their location.

WANTED Dead are side missions that require the player kill pirate captains using a specific weapon.

The missions can be found on the bulletin boards of various liberated outposts.

Poker is an activity in the game unlocked early on. It is available at various outposts.

There is a quest on the second island in Thurston Town titled "Father's Burden" that makes this achievement very easy to unlock.

Lure and kill any predator in the game. Can be earned early on.

Predators you may encounter include Tigers, Leopards, Komodo Dragons, Sharks, and more.

Rare animals can only be found through Path of the Hunter side missions.

You can upgrade using animal skins.

The required animal skins are displayed below each piece of equipment.

Syringes can be crafted in the "Crafting / Syringes" tab of the pause menu.

The "Horticulture 101" skill allows the player to harvest twice as many leaves at once - greatly easing the difficulty of this achievement.

After collecting 30 Relics, the first special syringe titled "Untouchable" will unlock. It requires:

• 2 white leaves
  
• 5 amber leaves
  
• 5 green leaves

You can find the lost Hollywood star at the coordinates:
x: 619.5 and y: 559.5

The Flamethrower can be acquired by several means:

• Purchasing it from the store for $2400
  
• Receiving it for free after liberating 5 Radio Towers
  
• Keeping it after the thirteenth story mission

Easiest with an RPG or GL-94, but any explosive (Grenade, C4, Mine) will do.

A full distraction requires the enemy walk towards the thrown rock, and then return to their initial position.

If you liberated every outpost and still missed this achievement, you can reset all outposts via the Options menu and try again.

Requires "Death From Above" from The Heron skill tree before attempting.

Easier to obtain when outposts are not liberated and enemies are plentiful. If you liberated every outpost and still missed this, you can reset all outposts via the Options menu and try again.

The Repair Tool can be acquired by:

• Purchasing it from the store for $400
  
• Receiving it for free after liberating 2 Radio Towers

After acquiring the Recurve Bow, purchase the Marksman Sight attachment for $250 in order to make this achievement easier to unlock. You can also use explosive arrows if you find that more convenient.

To tag an enemy, simply hover over one with your camera out and make sure to zoom in. A little icon will pop up over their head confirming they are tagged.

To make this easier you can:

• Unlock the ‘Deep Breath’ skill under The Heron skill tree
  
• Unlock the ‘Expert Swimmer’ skill under The Spider skill tree
  
• Craft the ‘Deep Dive’ syringe under the Exploration Syringes category
