How to parry King Dice's Dice Consistently
Timing your Jumps
You want to first look at the way the dice is rotating (it'll only be to the left or the right), and then create a sequence of the numbers in order in your head. I'll use to the left as an example. When rotating to the left, the sequence will be 3-2-1-repeat. You want to keep the number you want to land in the back of your head, and go back 2 numbers in the sequence (for example, let's say I want to land the number 3. If I were to go 2 numbers backwards in the sequence, it'd be 2.) Now, you want to specifically start your jump once you see the number 2 so that once you're falling back down into the dice, it will be the number 3.
Keep in mind that there is a window of time in which you can parry the dice midair, so for this method, I'm specifically making it so that your parry is generally happening when Cuphead (or Mugman) is falling and is right in the middle of the dice.
One very important thing you might notice is that the parry-able dice that King Dice spawns at the main arena is that, regardless of it rotation, it always rotates at the same speed. This is key since it's what allows this method to work consistently.
Extra, more layed out Example
Just for those that may still find the method confusing.
Let's say that the parry-able dice is moving to the right this time around. That means the first number will be 1, followed by 2, and then 3. That would make our sequence of numbers 1-2-3-repeat.
Let's say I want to land on 1: Moving 2 numbers backwards in the sequence (so to the left and looping back around after hitting 1), I'd get 2.
Let's say I want to land on 2: Moving 2 numbers backwards once more, I'd now get 3.
Let's say I want to land on 3: Moving 2 numbers backwards, I'd get 1.
Remember, like all techniques in Cuphead, this one will also require some practice. You can do it though! I mean if two boys can beat up crazy people and mythical beings to the point they're willing to give up their souls to the devil then anything's possible, really :''''3
