Introduction

This guide is dedicated to players who are tired of grinding the traditional way for prestige levels or simply don’t have the time to spend hundreds of hours farming for perk and prestige levels. Whether you’re looking to level up fast or get your prestige to max level, this guide will show you the quickest and most effective way to do it.

Why Do You Need to Prestige?

Prestiging in Killing Floor 2 doesn’t provide you any significant gameplay advantage. The main rewards are cosmetic in nature which are:

A unique icon that reflects on how many times you’ve reset the perk (up to five times)

A decent skin for each tier of perk weapon

and 2 million dosh which is roughly equivalent to four vault crates.

How to Farm XP Fast

Now let’s get into the nitty-gritty stuff.

Step 1: Install the Custom made Map
The first step is to install a modded map designed specifically for fast XP farming. Follow the steps shown in the video and move the custom map to the designated game folder.
Step 2: Launch the Game & Select the New Map
After installing the map launch Killing Floor 2. When you’re in the game, head to “Play Solo Offline” and select the new custom map you just installed.

Step 3: Choose Weekly Boss Rush & Press Play.

Step 4: Once you’re in the arena you’ll see the trader and several pre-spawned weapons that help you defeat bosses faster. These weapons are a big advantage allowing you to kill bosses more effectively and you can also sell them for dosh in exchange for higher tier potent weapons. When the round begins exit the trader room and head to the central arena, the bosses will spawn in waves and can't attack you unless you're facing specific ranged attacks. The trick is to stand on the side walls and shoot from the opening, doing so will make sure the bosses can't attack you at all.

My Method for Fast XP Farming

The first boss wave is incredibly easy to defeat taking less than 5 seconds to kill(this greatly depends on your perk's starting weapon). After you kill the first boss don’t waste time with the rest of the waves. Simply reset the level by pressing F3 to open console commands and type “restart level”. This will instantly bring you back to the beginning of the wave and repeat the steps.

I recommend copying the "restartlevel" command and pasting it every time you want to reset the level. It saves you a lot of time and the trouble of typing the command every single time you want to reset the level.

The reason we don’t continue after wave one is that the bosses in subsequent waves have significantly more health, making them harder and slower to kill. By resetting after the first wave you maximize XP farming.

Hidden Weapon Spawn Locations

You might be wondering why many of the pre-spawned weapons seem to be missing, it is likely due to a bug. These weapons used to be visible to the players but over time their textures were lost. Don’t worry though, they are still there to be picked up but are just invisible.

You can dispose of your useless starting weapons and pick up these weapons(exceptions apply like the firebug perk which has a strong starting weapon and Molotov and can defeat bosses in less than 3 seconds)

By combining this knowledge with my fast grinding method you can literally make your grind almost 4x faster.

Check out my video for the exact locations!

The END!!!

That’s pretty much it! The method is simple, effective and less boring. I wouldn’t recommend wasting hours on prestiging for cosmetic rewards especially if you have limited time to play. But if you want to prestige for fun or because you enjoy the grind, this guide will help you get there much quicker than the traditional methods.

Thanks for reading! I hope this guide has helped you as it helped me. If you found this guide useful, please consider leaving a positive rating or even dropping a Steam award — it would mean a lot! Now, go out there and kill some Zeds!
