Useful Tips

Saving Time:

-Hold dodge and press select/options/minus (whatever your controller's version of that is) to skip cutscenes. Or if you're using the keyboard, press shift and enter at the same time. This can also be used to skip the animation when Bayonetta blows a kiss to break barriers at the end of combat, to skip the intro and outro of the shop whenever you visit it, and to skip the introduction to Angel Attack. This saves lots of time.

-Press kick to just skip playing Angel Attack and cash in all your bullets for halos instead.

Useful To Know:

-During the Alfheim verses where you have to fight 'out of body' while protecting your body, equip the gaze of despair, a trinket that makes all enemies get enraged as soon as they spawn. This will make them always attack you instead of your left behind body.

-Hold the taunt button to perform a longer taunt. This makes the trinket that heals you a little bit for taunting proc multiple times.

-You can press select/options/minus/etc during the loading screen to make it stay on the loading screen so you can practice. Even if your PC loads almost instantly you can still press it in time.

More info from Steam user Reisei:

-you can invert the controls of the missile and the turret in the options, but you gotta reach those parts first for the option to appear

-in cinematics that precede fights where Bayonetta eats a lollipop, you can press and hold a button when she's eating it for a free use that doesn't count towards your used items at the end of the chapter. more info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingDetails/comments/10vrco1/in_bayonetta_during_cinematics_where_shes_eating/

-there's a neat weapon you can unlock by completing 100 chapters but you can farm it by beating Balder over and over. a neat tip is stacking up on purple lollipops and equip the accessory that procs witch time once you get hit, and go ham on him (the durga/kilgore glitch works wonders here)

-for those who don't know about the durga/kilgore glitch, it's a way to dish out insane damage in one combo. here's a guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQDmURgvf-U
