Launch commands

+com_skipIntroVideo 1 -- Skips Bethesdas logo, id logo and disclaimers

+com_skipKeyPressOnLoadScreens 1 -- Skips loading prompts, the "Press [SPACE] to continue" when you finish loading

+com_skipSignInManager 1 -- (Should) skip account creation/log in. If skipSignInManager doesn't function, try this.[www.pcgamingwiki.com]

+warning_disable all -- This is not needed. This command disable all red text you would see in your console. Most of the text is useless and doesn't mean much, your game is fine. Good for people that want a clear console.

You can use one or another. Using the first two is still the best though, since your game will skip a ton of stuff you won't be interested if you're all in for gameplay. The log in and checking in Bethesda servers can take a while, so the log in skip/block is much appreciated as well.

Mods, of course

A big part of this "steamlinement" is by using mods.

You install mods using Eternal Mod Injector[gamebanana.com] created by Zwip-Zwap Zapony & friends. I won't be convering how you install mods, there's plenty of better and greater videos explaining and showing a how-to than I could ever do.

No Tutorial pop-up[www.nexusmods.com] -- In god-knows-when update, id implemented this tutorial to help new players to get introduced, however they forgot to add a option to skip it, so Proteh and Alby did this for us.

No secret pickup animations, granades, flamerhrower and batteries (Exultia); and speed up rune, mods, crystals, automap and Slayer Gates[www.nexusmods.com] -- This one is a very good one. It automatic does what many speedrunners do: skip animations, but now you don't have to concern yourself with the timming and bugging your weapons. It also comes with a much appreciated speed up in animations. Done by DBmain and Noname.

THE ZIPS YOU WANT TO USE IS
QP_Mod_NoAnimForSecrets.zip
AND
QP_Mod_AnimSpeedIncreased.zip
ALL OF THE OTHERS HAVE CHANGES NOT INTENDED BY THE GUIDE

No Intro, no HUB and no Cameras[www.nexusmods.com] -- Legendary mod made by Wryyyong and proteh. It skips the Doom Fortress and spawns you with the itens you would've won, like coins, weapon mods and etc. The mod skips the intro when you hit start as well, since you have a delay to skip it. Moments when there's a unskippable cutscene are also skipped, however sometimes the collision is still there and you need to wait for some seconds - but will not be noticed by many. There's other changes you can read in the mod's page in Nexus.

Quality of Life, as well

Chainsaw Savagery[www.nexusmods.com] -- This is one that you'll scratch your head and think "Why didn't they integrated this into the base game?" well, I'm as confused as you. This will only take effect if you have Savagery equipped OR is using one of those mods that makes some runes passive abilities. Creator is FlavorfulGecko5.

The QoL of QoLs[www.nexusmods.com] -- This mod does many things most will like, but it's highlight is, for sure, the integration of the Ice Granade as a hotkey instead of needing to switch and then using it. Now it has it's own dedicated button. There's much more to it, but I'll leave you with the link and you can read on the page what it does. Creator is Kaibz.

Some HUD QoL[www.nexusmods.com] -- This mod gives you various options to customise your HUD. Make it centralised, make it bigger, make it smaller, you name it. Creators are Konvaz - Velser.

Some more HUD QoL[www.nexusmods.com] -- Gives you much more colour options you can use in your HUD, very good. Made by Velser - Theory - SaimizZ - vmoo_.

No earrape, yes?[www.nexusmods.com] -- This mod makes a TON of exploding SFX much quieter and pleasent to hear. No more insane armour chunking that implodes your ear drums, now things are much better. Creators are id Software - Velser.

HELP, I CAN'T SEE[www.nexusmods.com] -- Finally but not least: a Low Health HUD mod. It gives you various options from making it less intrusive to no red on the screen at all, just the flashing message. Much appreciated. Created by NikkMann.

Thanks for id Software for making a game that made the Doom Clone syndrome a thing again. This just go for show how DOOM 2016 and Eternal are influential.

And you! For reading all of this. Maybe you aren't here for the mods, but maybe you learned something by reading the guide. Thank you very much. Continue on playing the game and having fun with it, one way or the other.
