Postal²'s Holidays 101

Before accessing the Holiday tabs, you'll need to complete 'A Week in Paradise' mode on Hestonworld, POSTAL or Impossible difficulty. Alternatively, you can unlock them by waiting for each event's real-life date (but where's the fun it that). Once you've unlocked them you'll be able to use all the holidays option anytime and all at once.

The option will appear as '???????' before meeting the requirements, but once you do, the Holiday tabs will become available in the game options:

There are currently 6 Holidays overrides: Valentine's day, St. Patrick's day, April Fool's day, Easter Sunday, Halloween and Night mode.

On Valentine’s Day in Postal 2, signs advertising a kissing booth will appear around the first map (Aka the Dude’s house). The kissing booth can be found near the arcade and outside the “Fire in the Hole” club, where Mike J, the Chief Bidet Officer and co-owner of Running With Scissors, offers kisses for $5. A round shaped hole is also visible behind the booth, however it is unusable.

The kiss leaves a red lipstick mark on the screen but doesn’t grant any bonuses or special effects. Some npc will also be seen holding flowers (if the players didn't deactivate accessories) and
sometimes randomly kissing other npc.

On St. Patrick's Day, a Leprechaun will spawn randomly. He can appear in almost any map, along with a pot of gold. Once the Leprechaun spots the player, he will begin to flee towards his pot of gold at an alarming rate. If the player doesn't catch him, he will hop into his pot of gold and disappear, leaving the player with nothing.

The player has two choices: they can either kill the Leprechaun, which will grant them around $250, or they can weaken the Leprechaun until he drops to the ground. The player can then pick him up, find him in their inventory, and use him as an item. Once use the Leprechaun can grant one of four wishes:

1. I wish I had an elephant sized ♥♥♥♥: The player's genitalia (the censored circle) will grow in size along with his stream of urine.

2. I wish to be the hottest guy in town: The player will catch on fire. However, the dude becomes immune to fire damage and will ignite nearby people or cause cars around him to explode. The effect isn’t permanent and will eventually wear off.

3. I wish for hot ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to work my balls: This wish spawns three flaming dogs that attack the player. They cannot be befriended, nor can the player extinguish them by peeing on them. The dogs are also completely immune to fire damage.

4. I wish for infinite wishes: The player will become Leprechaun. Unlike the 2nd wish, this one is permanent. However there are two ways to remove this effect: loading a previous save or using the "Set AWDude bLeprechaunMode 0" command in the console. Using "Set AWDude bLeprechaunMode 1" will do the opposite and make the dude a Leprechaun, wich makes him shorter and a little bit faster, but also makes bystander laugh at his presence.

After that, the player can find his pot of gold, which is easy to locate thanks to the huge rainbow shooting out of it. Once touched, the pot will reward the player with around 490$–520$.

Note: The best way to kill or injure the Leprechaun is to use catnip, then either shoot him in the head or hit him with a melee weapon if you want to keep him alive. If he escapes or dies, you can reload a save, he usually respawn around the same place.

This holiday doesn't really changes the gameplay. It adds a new menu option that mocks in-game transaction (seen in 99% of todays triple A titles). You cannot purchase anything, and if you try the dude will respond with: "Nope!" or "I don't think so"

In the forest area, where the Christmas tree is located, you’ll find a rabbit hole surrounded by eggs. Destroying these eggs scattered around the map will reward you with ammunition and healing items. If you enter the rabbit hole, you’ll be teleported to the Easter Bunny’s Domain, a special map created specifically for the holiday.

Once there, the player will be able to visit the easter bunny's home and fight him. He has quite a large amout of hp, high damage and attacks that can stunlock the player. Proceeding with catnip, crack-pipe and weapons helps a lot during the fight. If you do manage to defeat him, you'll be rewarded with 200$, a SiC Body Armor and also ammo for the Weapon of Mass Destruction.

Houses are decorated in consequence and some npc will even wear a pumpkin helmet on their head, a witch mask or a skeleton bodysuit. Two new npc will appear: a friendly ghost, it doesn't attack the player nor can it be damaged and skeletons. Contrary to the ghost the skeletons will climb out of the ground and attack the player with maces or bombs.

The pitchfork will also be made available to the player (it can be found in the back of the starting home near the trailer house). The pitchfork seems to be a shovel reskin, however it cannot propel you in enhanced mode:

Quite literally just nighttime, it doesn’t change anything except the time of day. However, when paired with Halloween mode, it creates a nice ambiance.

Altough not official and not it the holidays tab, the postal 2 community has made mods to bring the christmas spirit to paradise city, either with conversion mods that changes the game and add a new and interesting story or new weapons to plague paradise during the festivities... Also, npc will wear santa hat during the month of december.
