How to launch without 2k launcher!
Walkthrough
Step 1 - Locate where your game application is installed, for me this was under the standard steamapps - common - CIV.
Step 2 - From there go into - Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam. Depending on whether you use DX12 or not make sure you know which one you want to launch with.
Step 3 - Get the file path through to the application and copy it. For me this was as follows - D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI_DX12.exe
Step 4 - Go to your steam library and open your launch options for CIV. ( right click - properties on CIV )
Step 5 - Take your file path and paste here like this "-filepath-" adding %command% on the end.
So it should then look like this - "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI_DX12.exe" %command%
Note: If you know you've used the DX11 launch option or having crashes ingame using the \CivilizationVI_DX12.exe" %command%, please try the \CivilizationVI.exe" %command% instead, to launch the game with DX11.
Click Ok and launch the game, it should skip the 2k launcher all together and just go straight into the game fixing any issues i had with the launcher in the process.
I am assuming this is a universal option that should work for everyone, hopefully it gets rid of any issues you've had with the new 2k Launcher.

Update :)
As per the comments, this is an easier way to find your install folder.
Quick way to find install folder through steam:
Steam>Library> Left click game in list on left side so it's selected.
Right click>Manage>Browse local files
This opens install directory on PC.
