How to paint Lamenters in Space Marine 2
Preamble
The Lamenters are a loyalist successor chapter of the Blood Angels.
Founded in the 21st Founding in M36, nicknamed the "Cursed Founding" as many chapters created in this founding had pronounced unintended flaws with their gene-seed stock, notably the Lamenters were created to remove the effects of the red thirst and black rage but these have resurfaced among members in recent millennia.
An unintended flaw that no one could see coming is how unlucky this chapter is with many other loyalist chapters outright refusing to work with or even abandoning the Lamenters due to them being "cursed."
Despite the chapter's melancholic nature and surviving tragedy after tragedy, their chapter has survived through and through; heralding the nicest ideas from their gene father Sanguinius and protecting humanity whenever and wherever possible even at great costs to themselves.
Note: The Lamenters have so few official sources about their heraldry so what you will see here is how I personally paint my Lamenters, so you may follow along to the letter or go your own way but I will do my best to keep it Codex compliant.
Heraldry & Color Scheme
Brother Elio, 3rd Company, 6th Squad
Full color list: Flash Gitz Yellow, Gehenna's Gold, Mephiston Red, White Scar, and Abaddon Black
Though the Lamenters are sons of Sanguinius and love their gene father, they are not artisans unlike the Blood Angels and have more "basic" looking armor and heraldry though veteran members may adorn themselves with red blood droplets and other fancier armor pieces.
Veteran Sergeant Andrea, 3rd Company, 6th Squad

Rank (Helmet)
Lamenters denote ranks by additions of skulls or colored stripes on their helmets.
Depending on the helmet, a colored stripe may be a half stripe or a full stripe.
Captains wear a helmet without a stripe, sometimes decorated with a skull or without one.
Their right pauldron denotes their rank as a Captain.

Company Colors (Left Knee)
Lamenter companies are displayed on the left knee following regular Codex compliant colors.
These are company colors in compliance with the Codex but 6th Company being Orange doesn't contrast well with Flash Gitz Yellow so you may use another color in its place.

Battlefield Roles (Right Pauldron)
A Marine's battlefield role is denoted on the right pauldron and uses a number instead of a high gothic numeral for the squad number.
Lieutenants wear appropriate icons to denote their rank though it is not always necessary due to the helmet stripe.
Captains wear appropriate icons to denote their rank.

Techmarine
While not apart of regular company organization, Techmarine's are important to every chapter, without battlefield mechanics they simply cannot keep up with the battles they fight.
Optionally you can have the checkerboard pattern on the right kneepad or leave it as is like I have as seen above.

Death Company
Despite attempts to get rid of the flaws in the gene-seed of the Blood Angels, Lamenters still suffer from the red thirst and black rage in extreme circumstances.
Death Company Lamenters have standard DC iconography, black armor with red saltires symbolizing the wounds of Sanguinius. Death Company Marines armor varies in how decorated it is, so put many blood droplets on it or a few.
The chapter pauldron and aquila can be colored different depending on your preferences.
Unknown Battle Brother, Death Company
Full color list: Nuln Oil, Ironbreaker, Mephiston Red, and Gehenna's Gold

Bonus: Deathwatch
How I paint my Deathwatch Lamenters is very similar to how I paint my Death Company Lamenters so we repeat some of the previous steps.
I personally use Nuln Oil because it looks less glossy than Abaddon Black but you can go your own way.
