Manhunt

Manhunt is all about teamwork

Prey:

As a prey, hide amongst crowds with your teammates to score points, the more players in the area the more points you'll get. Commonly used abilities as a prey are;

  • Morph - Turns the whole crowd into your lookalike.
  • Bodyguard - Turns a nearby lookalike into a bodyguard that will stun nearby pursuers or a pursuer that you have locked.
  • Tripwire bomb - Tripwire bomb will trigger and cause a temporary smoke when a player walks into it. (Won't affect civilians)
  • Smoke bomb - Will spread a large amount of smoke causing the pursuer to miss their kill (when the bomb is thrown at the right time) and will allow you to stun them.
  • Time Phase - Slows other players around preventing them from sprinting and prevents them from locking you and getting any feedback through it.

Watch nearby chasebreakers and check all directions including rooftops since they can pull of acrobatic or aerial kills, recognize player behavior which is sprinting or fast walking, some players will disguise themselves.

If getitng chased, run through a nearby chase breaker to block them from reaching to you, otherwise climb to the rooftops and locate the nearest chasebreaker to run into to make them lose their track of you, avoid crowds when in a chase they can slow you down when trying to get away.

When you see a character getting too close, lock them using right mouse and as they get close to you, stun them, it'll end with a 200+ points or a contested kill. Locking the pursuer will prevent you from killing other civilians around you.

Do not run when you hear whispers, you'll reveal yourself to your pursuers unnecessarily.

Pursuer:

As a pursuer, follow your compass to the exact area your target is, if it shines blue move straight to fast walking (holding ctrl) because that means your target can see you if the compass is blue. The commonly used abilities for a pursuer are;

  • Morph - Holding the button ability for the morph, aim at the crowd your target is in and it'll turn all civilians into lookalikes revealing your target (who will not turn into your character).
  • Wipe - Wipes out their abilities for a couple of seconds highlighting the target in white.
  • Smoke bomb - A ability to use when you feel your target is getting to close or when there are more than two players in that area which prevents them from stunning you.
  • Firecrackers - Will blind your target temporarily and will frighten the civilians around you while your target has tried to run off or is still standing still.

Do not run unless you're chasing after the target, running around in the area your target is in will reveal you and allow them to lock you so if you get near them they will be able to stun you.

Ranged Abilities:

  • Knives - Will wound the pursuer allowing you to stun them, or will wound the target preventing them from climbing and sprinting temporarily.
  • Poison Dart - Will poison your target scoring 300 points so they will die even if they run away
  • Pistol - Will score 100 points or 150 if the target is running
  • Disruption - Will prevent the pursuer or prey from seeing you and will mess up their vision temporarily as you're able to run away/kill them.

Deathmatch

Deathmatch is all about patience.

When trying to kill your target:

Knives are a commonly used ranged weapon in the deathmatch gamemode, the knives can be used for wounding your target preventing them from climbing all the way to getting a knife stun.

Lookalikes will be not in a deathmatch gamemode unless a player creates it using the morph or the blender, so everyone is revealed until someone creates their own crowd of lookalikes so you'll need to be careful and try identify your target.

Revelation is a common win streak used to reveal your pursuers which are highlighted in red, this win streak will make you near unstoppable if you know who your pursuers are allowing you to stun them or make them get a contested kill. Determined is used a lot to prevent the player from losing points when they get a contested kill.

Players tend to walk fast, holding ctrl you will be able to walk fast without running and revealing yourself to other players around you, allowing you to approach your target as your metre fills up slowly to its max and get the points you desire.

You'll need to be careful when you feel you're near your target, there can be tripwire bombs, smoke bombs or bodyguards which will prevent you from getting to your target because they have protection.

Hiding in a crowd and allowing your target to walk by will get you that hidden bonus scoring more points than what you have, allowing a focus will also add an extra 150+ points, or 50+ points if the focus circle is not completed.

Using money bombs, firecrackers or even morph, it'll reveal your target. Hold the button down of your ability that you use to reveal your target, and aim at the crowd you assume they are in and the abilities will either;

  • Morph - Turn all civilians into your lookalikes except the target that will stay as their exact same character unless they are using a disguise.
  • Money Bomb - Throw coins in that area and reveal the target because they are not picking up the coins.
  • Firecrackers - Will blind your target while scaring all civilians as your target is still standing still.

Artifact Assault

Artifact assault is all about teamwork

As a team you defend your own artifact while in attempt to capture the opposing teams artifact assault to be the winning team once the match ends. The common used abilities in artifact assault are;

  • Booby Trap - To place a trap on a chasebreaker so it explodes when an enemy runs through it
  • Teleport - To teleport a further distance away rather than having to run your way when there are pursuers behind you
  • Knives - Used to slow your target down so they can't escape/get the artifact.
  • Time Phase - Used to prevent players from getting feedback through it, allowing you to run while it slows them down.

Easiest way to work your way around things is to have 2 defending and 2 trying to get the artifact. Have your 2 best defenders and your 2 best offense players.

Once a player has gotten the opposing teams artifact, you must escort them, prevent the enemies from killing your teammate so he can get away with capturing the artifact while slowing the opposing team so they can't reach to them in time to stop the capture.

The main target becomes the player with the artifact, you'll need to head towards the player who needs to be escorted, enemies will come from rooftops or from behind the player, so have at least one player reaching the top levels to prevent any aerial/acrobatic kills while the other secures the lower level.

While the 4th player is defending the artifact of your own and the other 2 are going out to escort the player with the artifact, once you see your teammate approaching, secure the area nearby your artifact in case their pursuers try to flank.

Another tactic is; as two people are going offense, one of the offense players will need to cause a distraction, sprinting far away and luring them to the opposite direction as the other player grabs the artifact and runs the other way, there most likely will be a pursuer after the player with the artifact so one of the defenders will need to run towards them asap before they get killed.

If the area you're in has top levels, having a defender stay on the top level can scout out and lock anyone who they assume is the correct target and have the other defender chase after that target while you stay near the artifact. However if there is more than 1 target, both defenders must stay at the artifact and watch all directions, don't go any further from the artifact or else it can be stolen easily, offense players should be relied on to kill the targets in the process of capturing the artifact, otherwise wait until the target is nearby.

Domination

Domination is all about teamwork

Domination is about capturing territories while defending your own as a team and hold it off until the match ends or until your teams bar has filled up the other half.

The most commonly used abilities in domination are;

  • Teleport - To get to B point (the neutral point until captured) players will use the teleport ability to teleport closer to the point instead of spending a minute or two running all the way there.
  • Bodyguard - The bodyguard ability is widely used when attempting to capture a point.
  • Knives - Knives are a common ranged weapon used when engaged in combat or when needed to knife stun a pursuer.
  • Decoy - Used when in attempt to capturing a point to lure any pursuers away in the process

One player defends the current territory, the 2nd player heads towards the enemy point and the other two head towards the neutral territory.

If in domination, have the first player defend point A, have the second player defend point B and have the third player defend point C, the 4th player goes around to different territories to provide backup to the other 3 players.

If with two territories, player 1 and 2 defend one of the territories while player 3 and 4 defend the other. Don't go any further from your territory, it will be easier to spot the enemy as soon as they walk in to capture the territory.

If with one territory, have player 1 and 2 defend the territory while player 3 and 4 head for one or both territories.

If with no territories, player 1, 2 and 3 head to different territories to capture and the 4th helps provide support to the nearest player, when one of the territories is captured, player 4 stays and defends that territory while the other player goes and gives support to one of the other players, and the cycle continues until the other territory is captured.

Wanted

Wanted is all about being aggressive and fast

Wanted is a free for all session like Deathmatch, all 8 players have targets to reach to and the one with the highest rank will have the most pursuers. Wanted will have lookalikes so it is a mix and match of Deathmatch and Manhunt. The most commonly used abilities in Wanted are;

  • Morph - Turn all civilians into your lookalikes.
  • Money Bomb - Throw coins in that area and reveal the target because they are not picking up the coins.
  • Firecrackers - Will blind your target while scaring all civilians as your target is still standing still.
  • Disguise - Will disguise you as another character for a temporary amount of time for you to be able to stay hidden from your pursuers and targets.
  • Knives - Will prevent other players from climbing and sprinting
  • Smoke bomb - Will allow you to escape of pursuers and your target stunning you when thrown at the right time
  • Time phase - Will prevent your pursuers from getting any feedback through it, running through it and locking you.
  • Poison dart - Will allow you to kill your target from afar for 300+ points.
  • Wipe - Will prevent your target from using their abilities for temporary amount of seconds and highlighting them in white so you can easily lock and kill them.

Wanted is about moving swiftly and doing it fast, it is exactly like deathmatch but it is a bigger map and you'll get more pursuers the higher the rank you are. You'll need to rely on your abilities to get you out of the mess when it comes to chasing after your target while having pursuers on you.

Running will attract attention, this will not only get you killed but will let your target know their pursuer and will recognize their pursuer for next time they hear whispers. Running is only mandatory when being chased by your pursuers, if stunning up to 5 pursuers is too hardcore, rely on chasebreakers to get you out.

Turn corners and try flank pursuers and stun them unexpectedly, it may result in a lucky stun or a contested kill, the only exception is if players use determined allowing them to keep the points they got.

Keep a low-profile, stay hidden until your pursuer is lured, if there are too many pursuers in that one area to be able to stun one you lured, rely on the crowd to try take you to the nearest chasebreaker and sprint through it to get out of a massive bloodbath.

Assassinate

Assassinate is all about being aware and stealthy

Assassinate is about being aware of other players around you and being more alert knowing someone could be observing you from afar. The most commonly used abilities in assassinate are;

  • Tripwire bomb - When hidden in a crowd, place a tripwire bomb beneath you, any players that walk into it you could easily lock and kill, or stun if it's your pursuer.
  • Knives - Used to knife stun a pursuer or when your target tries to get away
  • Bodyguard - When you have a pursuer on you, use your bodyguard and they will stun the nearest pursuer or the assumed pursuer that you locked.
  • Firecrackers - Used to reveal your target within a crowd, but will risk in drawing attention.
  • Disguise - Disguising and blending in with a crowd will allow you to pass by and try recognize player behaviour.
  • Poison - When in a walking crowd or sitting on a bench, waiting for them to walk by then lock them will allow you to poison them and score more points + a hidden bonus.
  • Smoke bomb - When you have a pursuer and you feel they are following, turn to the nearest corner and throw a smoke bomb, it may draw in attention but will allow you to stun the pursuer making them lose their change of striking a possible 450+ point score.

    You'll need to be stealthy when in assassinate because anyone will be able to identify you when there are no lookalikes unless you morphed a crowd or used blender.

    Find a crowd to blend in with, the easiest crowd is the one without players coming from all directions, two or one direction will be enough to identify other players as they pass by. Lock them then carefully approach them (Don't fast walk you can risk being identified), take your time and be patient but not too patient. Be careful when leaving a crowd, players can see it as player behavior.

    Do not run unless your pursuer is chasing you, running in front of other players will reveal you and will cause you to have up to 4 - 5 pursuers on you without you getting a chance to identify a player.

Wolfpack

Wolfpack is about teamwork and efficiency

Wolfpack is about working as a team of 4 and passing sequences by scoring points, not by the amount of kills you get. The most commonly used abilities in Wolfpack are;

  • Poison - When in a crowd with your target, use the poison to score the 300+ points and the hidden bonus will add extra points allowing you to score enough to just about reach the next sequence.
  • Disguise - Disguising will come in handy when you're after a target that isn't within a crowd and just walks on his own.
  • Knives - Knives will prevent your target from running from you or stunning you.
  • Firecrackers - When it comes to having a target with his own lookalike, using the firecrackers will exploit him allowing you to kill the correct target.
  • Wipe - Wipe will also expose your target in lookalikes allowing you to kill the correct target.

As a team, carefully approach your targets, lock your targets not another players target (unless the side objective is to give an assist bonus) and all 4 of you blend in with the 450+ point mark and get the extra hidden bonus by killing your targets all at once.

Infection; When in infection mode, have the team scattered in different places near targets, one of the players will collect the healthy packet and you all kill the nearest target.

Defense; When in defense mode, all 4 of you defend different chests at different areas, kill brutes first then kill the looter. Brutes will stun you when they see you kill the looter. If the brute is however, far away, kill the looter and then kill the brute as he runs at you.

Sync-Kill: Do not run ahead of other players to get to the targets first, because this isn't a straight away kill them thing, you'll need to carefully approach the targets with your team and lock your own target, as you and your team approach your targets left click like you would when engaged in combat and all of you should pass the sync-kill successfully.

Don't forget there are side-objectives in the top left corner of your screen, doing these side objectives will allow you to score extra points and pass the sequences faster.
