How to Take Down a Man of War

So you have just got into the world of pirates with your brand new Jackaw but you've ran into some problems. The only way of getting things like metal, wood and money is by fighing other ships and the harder and high level they are the more you will get. So you want to get all that money but the Man of War is too strong, what can you do?

The enemy of my enemy is my friend
There is one thing that you can't forget in AC4 which is that the Spainish and the British really don't get along and you will often find them fighting each other. This can be very good for you, all you need to do is just find for example a British Man of War which is getting attacked by a Spainish ship(s) and swoop in to clean up the mess after the Man of War has taken a beating.

One thing you HAVE to remember is that you can't let the Man of War get destoryed by the other ship or you wouldn't get all of the reward.

Can I come over?
This way is just simply getting off your ship and swimming over to the enemy ship and boarding it by your self and killing most or all of the crew. Once you have killed them all you just have to hit to ship once and it will instantly go into the boarding state. with this way you will still have to kill the 20 or something enemies and the other objective before you can get the rewards but it is better than having to fight the ship head on.

This is my favourite one to do since it is so simple and doesn't need any luck of finding the right battle. When doing this you have to remember that the ships will still move once you get off yours and you cannot swim as fast as they can sail. To stop the ship from just leaving you sitting in the water you will have to find a ship that is either, not moving much, already in a battle or just get luck and jump at the right time.

Attack it
Well not really, you shouldn't just walk up to it and start shooting because most of the time you'll be crushed. I do this attack the most because it is so quick and easy. All you need to do is just sail around and around the ship so that the side of your ship is always shooting at it. It is that simple, just keep going around it untill you have crushed it.

The only thing to remember with this is that the Man of War has a mortar and if you don't avoid them while attacking it you will just get blow out of the water by the mortars.

So this has been a few tips on how to take down your first Man of War and get those big rewards. Remember, stay away from those big cannon things on the ship and you'll be fine. I hope that this has helped you and that the British and the Spainish will be running in fear of your ship sinking skills.
