How to Easily Kill Hunters (in Each Map)

When the power comes back on, the Hunters will come and attack you. Once they’ve destroyed the door, quickly grab the wheel in front of the door using your gravity gun, then fire it directly into the Hunters. Use the tires to shield yourself when a Hunter fires its explosive flechettes. The flechettes will stick into the object you are holding. Quickly blast the object back into the Hunters before they detonate to destroy them with their own weapons.

Once the Hunters are defeated in that area, more Hunters will arrive. Grab the tire in front of the transmission building and destroy them with it.

After the Advisor flees or dies, Combine soldiers will arrive and attack you. Outside the building, a Hunter will approach. Grab the tire near the truck and use it to destroy the Hunter.

At the White Forest Inn, Combine soldiers will block the road. Hunters and Combine soldiers will attack you. Use the radiators found throughout the building to defeat them. However, they don’t deal as much damage as tires do.

Once all the Combine soldiers and Hunters have been killed there, head back to the road. More troops are on their way. Grab the log and use it to take them down.

At the Secondary Silo, the Hunters will arrive and attack the Rebels. Quickly get out of the rack and grab the car part from the back rack. That object will deal more damage than the tire.

After you’ve passed all the dead Hunters, you’ll face Combine soldiers. When you encounter another Hunter, back away and look for the propane tank in front of the (dead) turret. Grab the tank and kill the Hunter. The tank will deal less damage than the tire.

Once you arrive at the Sawmill, Striders and the Hunters will attack. It’s best to defeat the Hunters first because they can thwart the Magnusson device’s attack. So, if they show up, use the logs in front of the building to defeat them (the logs are scattered everywhere). Or use the jeep’s turbo feature to defeat the Hunters.

When you encounter Antlion Workers, immediately smash them with Gravity Gun and kill them with any firearms. The damage dealt will be doubled if they are upside down (this also applies to Antlions).
