Recommended Graphics Settings

the following settings are recommended for most PCs, low and high spec.

  • Cinematics Resolution: 4K
  • Ray Tracing: OFF (it's ugly and not worth the reduction in FPS)
  • Rendering Mode: Normal
  • Anti-Aliasing: OFF (for DLSS)
  • Texture Filtering: ANISO 16x
  • Screen Space Reflection: OFF (Ugly, not a good implementation)
  • Bloom: OFF (required to not have graphic issues with DLSS)
  • Motion Blur: OFF (same reason as above)
  • Rain Quality: OFF (very demanding and may cause stuttering)
  • Lens Distortion/Flare: OFF
  • Depth of Field: OFF

Rest of the settings depend on your hardware

Things to Download

Nvidia Profile Inspector [github.com]

Reshade [reshade.me]
with Add-on Support!!

Fluffy Mod Manager [www.fluffyquack.com]

Reframework [www.nexusmods.com]
upscaler beta if you're planning on using dlss

UpscalerBasePlugin [www.nexusmods.com]

DLSS [www.techpowerup.com]

Mod Setup

  1. Extract reframework to the game folder, launch game, then exit
  2. Use reshade installer on game, use directx 12, then skip everything else
  3. Rename dxgi.dll to d3d12.dll in the game folder
  4. Extract Fluffy Mod Manager anywhere outside the game folder
to use mods simply drag and drop the mods zip file to the mod manager window, that's it.

DLSS Setup

1. Nvidia Profile Inspector
  1. Launch Nvidia Profile inspector
  2. In the top left Corner where it says "PROFILES:" type in "Resident Evil" and click on this game (dw about it not saying remake)
  3. Under "3 - Antialiasing" go to "Transparency Supersampling" (not multisampling) and set it to "0x00000008 AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL"
  4. Under "4 - Texture Filtering" set "Texture Filtering - LOD Bias (DX)" to the following values depending on which DLSS mode you're planning to use
  • -0.5 for Quality
  • -1.0 for Balanced
  • -1.5 for Performance
Then Click on Apply in the top right corner and exit the application

2. Adding DLSS
  1. Extract the dlss dll file to the game folder
  2. Extract "PDPerfPlugin.dll" from the plugin zip file to the game folder
  3. Launch the game and use the insert key to open the reframework window
  4. Wait for it to load and go to "Temporal Upscaler"
  5. Adjust the sharpening and DLSS quality level
DLSS causes small issues with UI by making it jitter, and the reticle has very small visual issues
that's it for DLSS

HDR Fix

if you're going to use HDR make sure to download the following mod and extract it to the game folder, not fluffy.
