The Lost Tapes Guide (Find all Lost Safes)

Welcome Heisters :)

This guide will help you find all special keycards and Lost Safes on the 4 different maps. Those are:

- Shadow Raid
- Border Crossing
- Classic Diamond Heist
- Hoxton Breakout Heist

The christmas / holliday variant of the map doesnt spawn the safe or keycards!

The difficulty setting of the heist doesnt matter and the lost tape will spawn even on normal difficulty!
You also dont need to complete the heist to be able to listen to the recording in the crimenet menu - just grabbing it from the safe and quitting the heist is enough :)

There are several possible spawning locations for each keycard and safe per map and you will find them all in this guide!

The Special Keycards:
You will need to find 2 hidden keycards looking like this.

Unlike normal keycards these special keycards can be stacked in your inventory - allowing you to carry more than 1 keycard at a time. This makes it easier to complete the heist on your own!

The Lost Safe:
You will need to find 1 hidden safe looking like this and use the keycards on it!
ㅤ

Opening the safe:
Once you found the keycards and used them both on the safe it will start glowing in a green light and explode!
ㅤ
Picking up the recording:
Inside the vault you will find a tape reording that you can pick up - one of the lost tapes! Once you take it you can leave the heist without completing it as the playable audio will be unlocked already.

Listening to the Lore:
To play the audio-file you need to go back into the lost tapes menu in crimenet and click on the desired heist (in this example the shadow raid lost tape). Instead of playing the heist again you will now see the option to play the recording which will start the audio file for you!

Sit back, relax and enjoy some juicy lore which will tie some loose ends and might possiblyset up the scene for payday 3!

Objective:
Find 2 special keycards to open the Lost Safe, then steal the recording of a GenSec shareholder out for blood.

There are a total of 6 different keycard spawns and 3 different safe spawns on the map, there will always be 2 keycards and 1 safe!

Keycard #1:
Inside the building on the 1st floor, small room next to the camera room, looking into the warehouse, on the white boxes in the center of the room

Keycard #2:
Outside of the warehouse on the yard, on top of the 2 containers (upper container is blue), to the right side of the warehouse entrance, visible from the helipad looking down
ㅤ
Keycard #3:
Inside the building on the ground-level floor, on the shelf inside the small maintenance room connecting the building to the outside yard, next to some blue boxes.

Keycard #4:
Inside the main warehouse, on top of a big stack of wooden boxes in the center of the warehouse.
ㅤ
Keycard #5:
Inside of the sewer tunnels, right behind the first steel bars when coming from the van, inside an old tire lying on some rubble.

Keycard #6:
On top of the warehouse building, on the far left side looking towards the big yellow crane next to the water, lying on the ground next to a floodlight, behind the stairs leading into the warehouse.

Safe #1:
Inside the building on the ground-level floor, inside the small office room next to the kitchen.
ㅤ
Safe #2:
Outside of the warehouse on the yard, pretty far back when coming from the van, next to 3 yellow/blue/red containers, close to the parkour container puzzle.

Safe #3:
Inside the main warehouse in the far right corner when coming from the van, under the steel stairs leading up to the warehouse roof.

Objective:
In Mexico, find two special keycards to open the Lost Safe, then steal the recording of a violent inmate with a bone to pick.

There are a total of 6 different keycard spawns and 3 different safe spawns on the map, there will always be 2 keycards and 1 safe!

Both Keycards and the Safe will always spawn on the second half of the heist (after the crew made their way through the tunnel to mexico). There are no possible spawns on the first part (overkill mc club house).

To reach the spawn for Keycardc #1 you will need to buy the asset which grants you roof access to the north warehouse!

Keycard #1:
On a ventilation pipe on the roof of the northern warehouse. To be able get here you will need to buy the northern warehouse roof access asset in preplanning (make sure to pick the most northern access ladder)!

Keycard #2:
Inside the northern warehouse on the first floor. Head into the warehouse section with all the boxes and search on top of the northern box-tower. The keycard will be on the cardboard boxes.

Keycard #3:
The Keycard will be lying under a damaged car slightly north of the southern warehouse. The cartel-member guarding the lootable weapons on the tables outside will be to the west. You will find the keycard next to the cars tire.

Keycard #4:
Inside the middle room of the southern warehouse you will find the fourth keycard. It will be lying on top of the shelf filled with barrels full of chemicals in the middle of the room. Either grab it from underneith or jump on top of the shelf from the first floor to get the keycard.

Keycard #5:
Take the south-west exit of the southern warehouse and you will find the keycard on top of the forklifts roof.

Keycard #6:
The Last keycard will be next to the gate that you need to open if you want to escape via plane. Look directly at the gate and head a bit to the right - there will be a bush on the floor hiding the keycard.

Safe #1:
The first safe spawn can be found next to the northern warehouses north-east exit. There is a forklift and a worker working next to it.
ㅤ
Safe #2:
The second safe can be found in the northern warehouse as well. Go up into the first floor and head into the most southern room. The room is situated next to the room with all the computers and desks and there is a spiral staircase leading outside.

Safe #3:
The last safe can be found in the middle room of the southern warehouse. It is standing next to a small shelf containing barrels full of chemicals on the southern wall.

Objective:
Find two special keycards to open the Lost Safe, then steal the recording of a powerful family on the rocks.

There are a total of 6 different keycard spawns and 3 different safe spawns on the map, there will always be 2 keycards and 1 safe!

You can't get into the room in which you will find keycard #5 so you will need to grab it through the wall.

Keycard #1:
You can find the first keycard on the roof on a railing to the courtyard - next to the window through which you can watch the party.
ㅤ
Keycard #2:
Keycard #2 will be hidden in the sink in the kitchen on the second floor. The kitchen itself is also kind of hidden behind a glass wall that you cant see through so you might need to search extra carefully to find it.

Keycard #3:
Keycard #3 will be in the meeting room on the bottom floor (left side of the middle fountain area if youre looking from the big statue). You can find it on the table half-hidden by some paperwork.

Keycard #4:
The next keycard will be outside in the area that looks like a park. You will find it at the bottom of the big statue there!

Keycard #5:
Keycard #5 is very tricky to get as you cant enter the room that the keycard is actually in as long as you are playing stealth. You will need to go to the marked spot and grab the keycard through the wall. It is best to check this spot only once you already checked all other spots and are sure that it has to be here as you dont want to waste your time trying to get a keycard that you cant see if its not even actually there.

Keycard #6:
The Last keycard will be hidden inside the vault room. You will find it on the counter on the opposite side of the entrance.

Safe #1:
The first safe spawn can be found next to the landing platform on the roof. There are some stairs leading onto the landing platform - just go around to the opposite site of the platform without stairs and the safe will be there.

Safe #2:
The second safe can be found in the same meeting room as keycard #3. The room is on the bottom floor (left side of the middle fountain area if youre looking from the big statue).

Safe #3:
The last safe can be found on the bottom floor as well. Look for the construction site (right side of the middle fountain area if youre looking from the big statue).

Objective:
Find two special keycards in Day 1 to open the Lost Safe in Day 2, then steal the recording of an agent predicting a conspiracy.

WARNING:
The Keycards dont seem to spawn on the christmas version of the map.

There are a total of 6 different keycard spawns and 3 different safe spawns on the map, there will always be 2 keycards and 1 safe!

Sadly there is no preplanning available for the Hoxton Breakout heist and I couldnt find any good pictures online. Also taking screenshots from out of bounds or way up above the map didnt really look right (specially on day 2) so I cant give you an overview of all spawns here. If you have any ideas or screenshots that would work let me know and i will update the guide and add your name to the credit section!

All Keycards will spawn on day 1 and all the safes will spawn on day 2!

Keycard #1:
As soon as you blow up the wall to hoxton, kill/ dominate the cops and head straight down the hallway until you reach the closed door. Once that door opens turn right and head to the end of the hallway. The first keycard will be next to a dumpster on the right side of the door with the stairs that lead up to the street.

Keycard #2:
Next walk up the stairs and once you reach the street-level where the car is waiting for hoxton, turn left and the second keycard will be behind one of the stone pillars of the building you just came out of.

Keycard #3:
The next keycard will be close to the big parking garage at the end of the street-section of the level. You will find it on top of one of the manhole covers next to the street-crossing near the garage entrance.

Keycard #4:
Keycard #4 is also really close to the parking garage on the outside. Stand direktly in front and looking at the garage you will see some park benches to the left. The keycard will be on top of one there.

Keycard #5:
Keycard #5 is a tricky one. It is only half visible as it is sticking out of a parking ticket machine inside the big parking garage. If you stand inside the garage and look down the ramp that hoxtons car will drive down once you cleared the bollards. The ticket machines will be behind you to the left.

Keycard #6:
The Last keycard will be on the same level as keycard 5. It is hidden under the really big construction container in the construction are inside the garage. you will find it to the left of the ramp that hoxtons car will drive down. The keycard is under the container next to the pillar.

Safe #1:
The first safe spawn can be found on the ground floor in the entrance area of the fbi building where the reception is. Go to the left spiral staircase and the safe will be behind it near the wall.

Safe #2:
The second safe can be found on the first floor in the small office with glass windows and an open door right next to the FBI directors office.
ㅤ
Safe #3:
The last safe can be found inside the big fbi meeting room where you will have to defend hoxton while hacking during the main mission. If you look at the door in which hoxton is hacking, turn left and you will find the safe spawn in the left corner of the room near the walls.
