Нещодавно нарешті дійшли в мене руки до того, щоб, нарешті, пограти в цей шедевр ігрової індустрії. Цілий день вантажив гру (привіт чудовому інтернету та відключенням світла), і ось воно - гра встановлена. Запустив, як завжди ввійшов у обліковий запис Rockstar і стикнувся з тим, що гра не запускалася. При відкритті запускався Rockstar лаунчер, щось там грузив, вилазило якесь інше його сіре вікно і все. А сама гра так і не запустилась. Пробував кілька разів - і все одно нічого. Комп'ютер в мене більш ніж достатній, аби спокійно грати в цю гру на найвищих налаштуваннях. В мене вже навіть виникали думки про повернення коштів..

Recently, I finally got around to playing this masterpiece of the gaming industry. I spent the whole day downloading the game (thanks to the wonderful internet and blackout), and there it was - the game finally was installed. I launched it, logged into my Rockstar account as usual, and ran into the issue that the game wouldn’t start. When I tried to launch it, the Rockstar Launcher opened, loaded something, then some other grey window popped up - and that was it. The game never started. I tried several times, but nothing changed. I have a good high-end PC, and I guess it has to be enough to play this game at ultra settings without any problems. I even started thinking about requesting a refund...

Оновлював драйвери, Windows
Міняв налаштування сумісності для гри та лаунчера у властивостях ексешників
Запускав від імені адміністратора як саму гру, так і лаунчер
Запускав гру не із Steam, а із Rockstar лаунчера
Перевіряв цілісність файлів
Вмикав VPN та Warp
У властивостях гри вимикав Steam-оверлей, закривав Discord та Nvidia app з фону
Перевстановлював лаунчер та намагався відкривати гру з ексешника
Ну і як ви розумієте, нічого з цього мені не допомогло.

updated my drivers and Windows
changed compatibility settings for both the game and the launcher in the .exe file properties
I ran both the game and the launcher as administrator
I tried launching the game not from Steam, but directly from the Rockstar Launcher
I verified the integrity of the files
I enabled VPN and Warp
In the game’s properties I disabled the Steam overlay, and I closed Discord and the Nvidia app running in the background
I reinstalled the launcher and tried opening the game from .exe file
And as you can guess, none of this helped.

Вирішення / Solution

(🇺🇦) Що мені допомогло:
1. Переходимо по шляху "C:\Users\ім'я профілю\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\"

Бачимо такі папки: (іноді "Settings" може бути відсутня, але все одно переходьте до кроку 3)

Переходимо за посиланням[www.mikethetech.com] та завантажуємо архів

Закидаємо папку "Settings" з архіву у нашу відкриту теку, якщо запитує - із заміною.

1. Go to the path "C:\Users\profile's name\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2"

You’ll see these folders: (sometimes "Settings" may be missing, but still proceed to step 3)

Follow the link[www.mikethetech.com] and download the archive

Drop the "Settings" folder from the archive into our open folder - if it asks, choose to replace.
