It's a pretty easy fix

The Vulkan API makes the game look blurry And textures will not load properly
I do not know what causes this but.
if you switch it to Direct x 12 the game will look a lot sharper and And all that delicious detail will be there.

Does it matter what API you use for mods

The simple answer to this is no to my knowledge

I use Vulkan API all my mods worked
I switch to Directx still works
Some people say it can mess with mods but I haven't seen that to be the case

Simple answer doesn't matter
Unless for some weird reason there's a mod that needs the Vulcan API

But keep in mind if you use the Vulkan API it will make the game look blurry and textures will not load properly

I think this has to do with a bug with Rock Stars game engine

This is a reminder guide for me in the future and a guide for you

cause I see so many people saying doing all these different things and none of it works So I thought about changing the API and that's what fixes it

In the future I will put pictures to show the difference but right now I'm too busy playing Red Dead
lol

A weird bug may occur where steam overlay may stop working

I have no idea how to fix this at the current moment in time found out about it today

before and after

Bear vulkan api
Bear DirectX 12
Vest vulkan api
Vest DirectX 12

Doesn't matter the graphic settings on Vulcan it will always render at the lowest graphic setting
And as you can see from the DirectX 12 it renders the textures fully

The Directx 12 API in this game does have bugs
With lighting shadows Ambient occlusion ray traced stuff

The Vulcan API makes everything look like play Doh
the Directx API makes every texture load properly just has some lighting issues, shadow issues and ambient occlusion issues and so other problems.

But the textures render fully so pick your poison
