how to mod gta sa

This tutorial is how to mod GTA SA like a champ and other stuff, also this is my first steam guide so thank you for choosing to read this! this will also give some mods choices in the process so lets see if you were going to download these mods anyways

we will be needing this application because we will be needing the og version 1.0 of gta sa, steam version of gta sa is 3.0 which is a big difference :/, and since rockstar doesn't like mods on gta sa since of the "hot coffee incident" they have been putting protection in the files to make the mods not work, the original 1.0 version has none of rockstars protection, and it also brings back some old music tracks, old textures and old animations which is a epic gamer thing in my opinion :>. Now lets actually get into it: go to this link (click Here[gtaforums.com] or go here: https://gtaforums.com/topic/927016-san-andreas-downgrader/) and when your on that website you should be able to see exactly this:
if you do then yay, if you dont then either link is broken, you haven't let steam take you there, or steam has blocked it and thats a not a yay moment :<, now you will need to scroll down til you see this:

now you have a choice...

download 1: the quickest download but you have to download other assets after opening it (before using it), and has a chance of breaking
download 2: the slowest download, but the better choice since you dont have to download the other assets before using it, and theres no chance of breaking any time soon!

heres the choices reference just in case:
now you should have downloaded the downgrader and should be in your downloads folder (or where ever you saved it) i saved mine in the downloads folder, it should be like this
(eh i dont care if you see my file names and stuff) open the file latest.exe, it may ask for administrator permissions, if it does press yes, it will need to have permissions because its modifying your GTA SA files to be in version 1.0 and it cant do it without the permissions, when it opens, this should pop up:
read this again if you want to be careful but i didn't (insert lol here) , just click on yes, after you clicked on that this should pop up:

if something else popped up then look at hints and tips part of the guide, anyways it should have auto located your GTA SA directory, which is a good thing, it should check the files to see if you game files are valid (just like that steam option thats called verify or something like that) after its done checking the game files it should just be like that image above this paragraph, you can either do 2 things

1. just want the modding part with version 1.0? enable ASI loader and ModLoader under "Essential modifications" and then click downgrade in the bottom right,

2. want to have some other mods as well that comes with version 1.0? well enable the selection of the mods that you want, BUT you have to have ASI loader and Modloader enabled for the other mods to work, it also has the 2 most popular multiplayer clients for GTA SA in there (san andreas multiplayer and multi theft auto) so if you want to play online on GTA SA then enable one of them (i heard that SAMP (san andreas multiplayer) is better, idk why tho) then when your finished selecting the mods then click downgrade in the bottom right, then this should pop up:

now if you want to have GTA SA version 1.0 to have a different game directory then click yes and select a folder of any name, in any location on your computer, if you want to have a separate game directorie then click no and it will share it with your normal steam one (it can be deleted randomly if GTA SA needs to get updated, and it can break, i do not know if this what happens but this is what i expect to do)
now we wait till it finishes converting it from version 3.0 to version 1.0

now you should be finished with step 2, and you are asking, how can i launch this from steam? press add a game in steam, press add a non steam game, then browse then select the random random shortcut thats on your desktop thats called "GTA San Andreas V1" and click add to steam, but wait what about that custom mod you downloaded and save til you noticed how to put it into GTA SA? well find the mod, unpack the .zip or what ever it is, grab the folder inside that .zip folder you unpacked and has little mod files in it and copy it, go to that GTA SA V1.0 we converted, open that and go to the modloader file, and then paste it there

1Q. why does it look so rushed at the end of the guide?
1A. it stayed up writing this guide just for the people of steam
2Q. where do i download mods?
2A. anywhere on the internet, make sure you trust the source your downloading it from, i usually find mods on yt showcases and stuff
3Q. i selected the multiplayer mods but theres no .exe for the mod on the desktop, where could it possible be?!
3A look in the GTA SA V1.0 directory we were talking about earlier in the guide, it could be placed there, but dont drag it onto the desktop, right click it and go to send to ---> send to desktop
