have them forged, but properly

How to properly handle your hot oven!!!

Since I have accumulated some practice in over 4000 hours of play with blacksmithing and especially the blacksmith workshops,
I wanted to give you a short version of what I think are the most important cornerstones of blacksmith workshops, which are almost never mentioned in guides.
This mini guide applies exclusively to the blacksmith workshops and the city warehouse workshop.

First of all, I would like to point out the unfortunately somewhat unfortunate translation of the blacksmith information and set it straight.
the translation that the forge processes (exclusively) iron ore,
Unfortunately it's a bit misleading...
it should say..., the blacksmith's workshop processes all metal ores found in the game..,
be it in the form of unprocessed iron ore in its raw form, iron ore (iron in coarse lumps of stone),
or the pig iron worked out through smelting processes..,
as well as the metal bars from the name obtained from it; "Wrought Iron / Iron / Steel / Fine Steel / Damascus Steel",!!!

Since the workshop city warehouse only has a limited storage space, you should use it as effectively as possible,
so that you don't have to supply supplies for a long time without the forge immediately coming to a standstill after a few days.

if you listen carefully to the translation and explanation of the blacksmith's workshop and store 600 iron ore there in its raw form and think it's good,
he hardly gets to do anything other than collect iron ores on the map for his forge..,

because unprocessed iron ore takes up 20x more space than all other processed metals in ingot form...,!!!
100 iron ore = 1000 storage space,
100 pig iron = 50 storage space,
100 wrought iron = 50 storage space,
100 iron ingots = 50 storage space,
100 steel bars = 50 storage space,
100 Fine Steel = 50 Storage Space,
100 Damascus Steel = 50 Storage Space,

The city needs a prosperity level of 5 to produce the best weapons of weapon class 5-6.
This means the city must have 5000 prosperity.
This allows it to produce the best weapon classes of weapon class 5-6 with the best raw materials and thus maximize profit.

If you are surprised that your workshops barely make a profit,
then it will be because they don't get any decent metal material to be able to forge decent weapons etc.!!!
However, I don't just deposit fine steel or Damascus steel there, but several, so that the blacksmith can take what he wants to work with...
So in the setup from the screenshot he usually takes the iron bars or wrought iron bars first..,

that all these metal bars are also viewed as raw materials and that fewer bars than iron ore means more supply,
and I don't want to offend anyone, as you can see in this screenshot below of the existing iron raw material!!!

I want more , more , more...,

Example of a perfect storage setup for a blacksmith's workshop for lazy players
who don't want to restock resources every few in-game days...

This small storage capacity is only enough for a whopping 1554 in-game days...

and one year has 120 in-game days here.

1554 / 120 = 12.95 in-game years... :D

Only once you reach a population level of Level 6 (T6)—meaning 5,001+ inhabitants and 5,001+ Prosperity—

can you find such daily weapon drops available for purchase and smelting on the Town Market.

The same applies to the high-T armor, which will only drop from city level 6 onwards.

The same applies to headgear and horse armor, as well as bows and arrows.

However, having a blacksmith's workshop or a carpentry shop increases the percentage chance of obtaining high-quality weapons and items;

That said, nowhere is it actually stated or mentioned what the specific multiplier for this effect is.

Furthermore, instances where items of a tier (+1T) higher than the town's current level drop are likely to be rare exceptions rather than a regular occurrence.

At least, I have never personally found Tier 6 equipment in towns smaller than Level 6 (i.e., those with fewer than 5,001 inhabitants).
