Transform Tool

-You can right-click at any time while manipulating an asset to open a menu with lots of goodies. The most useful part of this menu is the copy and paste function. If you copy an asset, then right-click again and select paste, an exact copy of the asset will appear where you right-clicked. The asset you copy will inherit the colors, scale and rotation of the previous asset. You can also go to the paste transform option to move the asset you have selected (even if it’s not a copy) and it will be moved to the exact position of the asset you pressed copy on. Keep in mind that pressing paste transform will make the asset inherit EVERY attribute of the asset you copied. To avoid this, access the drop-down menu that comes out of paste transform. Here you can select which attribute you want to paste to your asset.

-Every .25 units is one block. If you have snapping on (the magnet icon at the top of the screen) the prop you are moving will snap to every .25 units. When rotating a prop it will snap to every 45 degrees. As long as all of the position data numbers end in .0, .25, .5 or .75, the asset will be aligned with the block grid. Also make sure that all the rotation numbers are 0, 90, or 180.

Clutter

-Select what kind of clutter you want to place and use the left mouse button to begin placing.

-To remove clutter, select the types of clutter you want to remove and press control and left mouse button to begin removing clutter.

Ground Texture

-You can left-click while holding Ctrl to remove the type of ground texture that you have selected.

Assets

-Most useful assets for making industrial or man made areas can be found by searching hideout, warehouse, ruin, tank, pipe or road.

Aesthetical Tips

-If you want your tile to look good next to vanilla tiles, make sure the ground texture on the edges is the default grass texture and the clutter is standard grass. Also make sure the terrain is flat.

Workshop

- To put a tile on the Steam Workshop, press the paper airplane button in the upper right corner.

- All tiles put on the workshop will by default have ".tile" placed after their names. This text is not needed and can be removed if you wish.
