Farming Limit Break for High Level Character/After Defeating Sephiroth

*Please don't mind my grammar , I'm trying my best! lol
- Weeks ago , I was thinking about how can I get all the limit break achievements after defeating Sephiroth without starting new game. I did some researches but only found farming guide for mid game because after you get your party to Lv.99 , you may find that the enemies are too weak to fill up the limit break gauge. So I tried my own methods and found the best and quick way to farm limit break for your unused characters.

Things that you're going to need

UPDATED 5/5/2020 ;
- Fixed typo.
- Added Pre-Emptive as optional materia in Materias section.
- Added Ribbon in Items section.

Materias :

• HP<>MP ; Very important , the lower your HP , the more faster your limit break gauge fill up.
  
• MP Plus ; You need to maxed out your character's MP to 999. So after equipping HP<>MP , your character HP will be 999. No need to care about MP.
  
• Slash-All or Mega All ; Unlocking the new limit breaks requires you to kill certain number of enemies. The quickest way is to use Slash-All.
  
• Manipulate ; I guess you know what it is for.
  
• Enemy Lure (Optional) ; Well , you encounter your enemy faster. Equip this to any character.
  
• Pre-Emptive (Optional) ; You get to sneak attack on your enemies! which make it faster!
  

Items :

• Hyper ; Cause Fury effect on your character , lower your attack but doubles the rate the limit gauge fills. Remember to use Hyper before going on a fight. The effect stay on until you use Tranquilizer. Both items can be bought in shops around the world.
  
• X-Potion ; Heal up your character after a fight. You can use W-Item glitch to farm X-Potion.
  
• Ribbon ; Some enemies can cause Sleep effect , equip Ribbon for less annoying problem.

Cloud

Cross-Slash - Use Braver 8 times
Blade Beam - Defeat 120 enemies
Climhazzard - Use Blade Beam 7 times
Meteorain - Defeat 200 enemies
Finishing Touch - Use Meteorain 6 times
Omnislash - You can gain and equip this Limit Break manually by winning either 51200 points or 32000 at the Battle Square in Gold Saucer, depending on which disc you are on.

Aeris

Seal Evil - Use Healing Wind 8 times
Breath Of The Earth - Defeat 80 enemies
Fury Brand - Use Breath Of The Earth 6 times
Planet Protector - Defeat 80 enemies
Pulse Of Life - Use Planet Protector 5 times
Great Gospel - You can gain and equip this Limit Break manually by getting some Mythril from the Sleeping Man near Junon when the last 2 digits of the number of battles you have fought match. Then before you go to the Temple of the Ancients, go to the Weapon Seller near Gongaga and open the small box upstairs to recieve it.

Tifa

Somersault - Use Beat Rush 9 times
Waterkick - Defeat 96 enemies
Meteordrive - Use Waterkick 7 times
Dolphin Blow - Defeat 96 enemies
Meteor Strike - Use Dolphin Blow 6 times
Final Heaven - You can gain and equip this Limit Break manually by playing the theme on Tifa's Piano as you did in Cloud's flashback. (You need Tifa in your party and this can only be done on disc 2 or 3). To play the tune, select "I remember" then press: X, Square, Triangle, R1/L1+Triangle, R1/L1+Square, X, Square, Triangle, R1/L1+X, O, X, Square and X to get it.

For PC : Cancel, Switch, Menu, Pgup+Menu, Pgup+Switch, Cancel, Switch, Menu, Pgup+Cancel, OK, Cancel, Switch, Cancel.

Barret

Mindblow - Use Big Shot 9 times
Grenade Bomb - Defeat 80 enemies
Hammerblow - Use Grenade Bomb 8 times
Satellite Beam - Defeat 80 enemies
Ungarmax - Use Satellite Beam 6 times
Catastrophe - You can gain and equip this Limit Break manually by opening the green item box before confronting Hojo in Midgar on disc 2.

Red XIII

Lunatic High - Use Sled Fang 8 times
Blood Fang - Defeat 72 enemies
Stardust Ray - Use Blood Fang 7 times
Howling Moon - Defeat 72 enemies
Earth Rave - Use Howling Moon 6 times
Cosmo Memory - You can gain and equip this Limit Break manually by defeating Lost Number in the Shinra Mansion.

Cid

Dynamite - Use Boost Jump 7 times
Hyper Jump - Defeat 60 enemies
Dragon - Use Hyper Jump 6 times
Dragon Dive - Defeat 76 enemies
Big Brawl - Use Dragon Dive 5 times
Highwind - You can gain and equip this Limit Break manually by collecting it from the Cargo Bay of the Crashed Gelnika once you have acquired the submarine.

Yuffie

Clear Tranquil - Use Greased Lightning 8 times
Landscaper - Defeat 64 enemies
Bloodfest - Use Landscaper 7 times
Gauntlet - Defeat 64 enemies
Doom of the Living - Use Gauntlet 6 times
All Creation - You can gain and equip this Limit Break manually by defeating Godo in the Pagoda of the 5 Mighty Gods in Wutai.

Cait Sith

Slots - Defeat 40 enemies

Vincent

Death Gigas - Defeat 40 enemies
Hellmasker - Defeat 56 enemies
Chaos - You can gain and equip this Limit Break manually by visiting Lucrecia's Cave on disc 2 after acquiring the submarine and again on disc 3 to get his Limit Break and Ultimate Weapon.

You have to defeat certain number of enemies to get a new limit break. Some of them required you to defeat 80+ enemies. This may take some times to unlock. Follow my method for the fastest way.

1. Equip Slash-All or Mega All materia to the character that you want to farm. Visit Mideel Area as shown in pic and walk around in the jungle until you encounter enemy.
2. You may encounter 3 or 4 enemies , use Slash-All to take them out (The enemies are 1-Hit KO if your characters are at Lv.99). Remember to take off the Counter Attack materia , so the others in your party won't steal the kill.
*Extra Tip : Make sure your character wear Ribbon since the some of the enemies can cause Sleep effect.

3. Repeat Step 1,2 until the new limit break unlock.

1. Equip HP<>MP , MP Plus materia and use Hyper on the character that you want to farm. Equip Manipulate materia on OTHERS character.

2.Visit Cactus Island , locate on the pic.
3.Walk around until you encounter Cactuar. Use Manipulate on Cactuar and use Mystery Kick on the farming character until you filled up you limit gauge. But here's a few rules.

• Do not use 1000 Needles since it'll deal the exact 1000 damage and kill your character.
  
• Do not let your farming character die or you will lose the limit gauge progress. Use X-Potion to heal up.
  
• Make sure to take off Cover and Counter Attack materia from others characters.

4. Kill Cactuar using the limit break , repeat step 1 - 4 until the new limit break is unlocked.

*Your achievement will unlock when you put the Lv.4 limit break on the character.

• Q : Why don't you go to Battle Square , use Limit Break and then Mime it?
  A : Interesting method but it didn't work (Well , I actually tried this and thought I was absolute genius). Unlocking the limit break need battle summary screen which after battle at Battle Square doesn't show it up.

• Q : I spin Tifa's Limit slot but it land on 'Miss' , will the game count?
  A : Yes , the game will count as you 'use the limit' but Tifa just doesn't perform that move.

• Q : I miss Aerith's final limit break , how do I unlock the achievement?
  A : Starting new game will be the only way. Unless you use a cheat or something.
